She's thorough with a capital T, personable, friendly, and dare I say funny. I mean, she has the dubious honor of touching what's likely one of our dirtiest and ignored body parts (with gloves of course), and somehow she does it with grace. Honestly, she seems like the kind of person I'd want to hang out with, and that makes seeking the care you need that much easier. On each visit, I found the doctors to be polite, knowledgeable, and competent in their work. However, my primary concern is with the excessive waiting times and lack of communication. I understand that delays can happen in a medical office, and waiting five or even ten minutes past an appointment time is reasonable. But during my most recent visit with Dr. Demeron, I waited approximately 40 minutes in the exam room without anyone coming in to check on me or provide any update as to what was going on. There was no communication at all, which I found frustrating and unprofessional. When the doctor finally came in, I raised this concern. He told me that it is not uncommon for patients to wait 30 to 60 minutes beyond their scheduled appointment time while doctors attend to procedures. I found this response to be dismissive and unacceptable. While I understand that schedules can fall behind, a lack of communication and acknowledgment of a patient's time reflects poor office practices. I expressed how I felt at the time. I may have caught him off guard, but I believe feedback should be welcomed, as no one is above receiving constructive suggestions. What added to my frustration was that, after waiting all that time, the procedure itself took only about five minutes. As a diabetic patient, I rely on these appointments for proper care, and I expect that my time will be respected just as I respect the doctor's time. At the end of the visit, I was instructed to return in two to three months, and I scheduled a follow-up appointment as requested. Later that evening, I received an email asking for feedback about my visit. I provided an honest and fair opinion based on my experience. The following morning, I received a phone call from the office informing me that my upcoming appointment with Dr. Demeron had been changed to a different doctor. This change felt retaliatory in nature, given the timing after my feedback. If a doctor is unable to accept constructive criticism without taking it personally, that raises concerns about professionalism. Patient feedback is an important part of improving care and office practices, and it should not result in what appears to be punitive action.

Rather than recognizing these as potential signs of a medical condition or showing compassion, he was unkind, demeaning. After seeking care from a different physician, we learned that my husband has diabetes. The numbness, dry skin, and toe discoloration were all classic symptoms of the disease. Instead of helping identify a serious underlying medical condition or treating my husband with dignity, he was quite frankly, an ass.

I understand missed appointments and called to see if I could get a later appointment. This appointment was made weeks ago. I would have gladly paid a missed appointment fee but wasn't offered one. The receptionist told me my appointment was canceled. When I asked for another appointment the receptionist said she could not move it. I asked if I could make a new appointment and she said no. So, naturally I asked if he would see me with a new appointment and she said no. So, basically I was fired by a missed appointment. I've heard good things about the doctor and am dealing with an open wound that needs attention. I'll have to find a new podiatrist. What a terrible experience this has been. I'll find a new podiatrist and do not recommend this office. I've never had this issue in my life. A doctor who fires you before your first visit. What a joke. Needing new orthotics, I called today for an appointment but was informed that because I owed the office $20 for a sock I didn't even ask for on one visit in 2021, I went into "collections" and am not allowed to be seen there again. I don't want to say that the person I talked to seemed rather gleeful to be winning our seeming battle of 2021, but I'm glad she won the $20 war for the $500 orthotics I would have purchased. Congratulations on the moral fortitude!
