The doctor even flagged my mothers chart. My mother was scared and very upset. As her daughter responsible for her I was scared to death. What I wasn't understanding was my mother was still fairly independent and fairly sharp cognitive. When the doctor flagged my mother's chart that's when I told my mother she was done with Kaiser. The doctor didn't want to listen to how my mother said she was feeling which I found to be disrespectful. My mother just went to her new doctor ( my doctor) not a Kaiser doctor for her annual checkup, had a cognitive evaluation and was given a clean bill of health. The doctor said cognitively she was normal for 86 years old and that one of her medications can slow the cognitive circuits a little and she was in good shape. The Kaiser doctor never said anything about this medication being able to slow the cognitive circuits a little. We both feel such a sense of relief. I feel I saved her level of independence and quality of life she has.

I've been a Kaiser Permanente member since birth and generally have had positive experiences, but…read moremy recent visit left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For the past few days, I've been dealing with typical viral cold symptoms that escalated to include a persistent cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, throat irritation, nasal congestion, bloody discharge, and a severe headache that turned into a migraine. Concerned about these symptoms, I tested twice for COVID-19--both negative. After my chest pain worsened, my friends and family urged me to seek urgent care. At urgent care, I explained my symptoms and received a strep, flu, and another COVID test--again, all negative. Despite feeling like there might be an underlying issue causing my symptoms to worsen, I was given a breathing treatment, prescribed an inhaler, and sent on my way, feeling like I had wasted both time and money. After following the care plan to the letter with no improvement, I made an appointment to see my Primary Care Physician (PCP). Instead, I was met by a nurse, Ms. Roberta Owens, at the East Denver Clinic on August 26th. I arrived slightly late, feeling absolutely miserable, and received a call while checking in, warning that my appointment would be canceled if I didn't check in within 10 minutes of the scheduled time. Already struggling to speak due to my symptoms, this added stress was not helpful. Ms. Owens quickly took my vitals and started asking pre-questions. From the start, our exchange felt defensive and combative. I was coughing so severely that it interrupted my speech, yet she continued to push the conversation. There were no tissues in the exam room when I asked for one, adding to my discomfort. I expressed my main concerns--particularly the intense sinus pressure and headaches--and suggested that I might need a referral to an ENT specialist. Instead, she ordered a chest X-ray, which unsurprisingly came back clear. Back in the exam room, Ms. Owens reiterated that what I had was likely just a cold, dismissing my concerns. While I understand that sometimes immediate medical remedies aren't possible, compassion and kindness can go a long way. Unfortunately, Ms. Owens seemed dismissive and didn't listen to understand my concerns. Her demeanor left me feeling emotionally drained on top of already feeling physically unwell. This experience was a stark contrast to the quality of care I've come to expect from Kaiser. I hope that future interactions will be more attentive and empathetic.

I scheduled this appointment about 3 months ago. When I came to my appointment they told me in the UK this birth control can last up to 5 years so I did not need to change it. However, the fda In the US has not extended this form of birth control for more then 3 years. It was very painful taking it out. And I had to ask for.numbing additional medication. I bleed alot during the procedure and afterwards and 5 days still in pain. My bar is loose and moving a around I was told it should settle in. I have never had a bar put in that was and could move by touch.

Their opening hours are convenient for us 8-5 folks and online appointment booking is easy. I have to book my regular OBGYN weeks in advance while I was able to get into PPH in a matter of a couple of days. This location is much smaller than Aurora or Stapleton and therefore not full service. Front desk staff is very pleasant and I was seen right away for my late afternoon appointment. After I grabbed a handful of the (free) colorful Lifestyles for my purse. Unfortunately the guy helping me had some major issues getting blood drawn. I was sufficiently hydrated, and I get blood drawn all the time without problems. He could not get any samples from either arm, which has never happened to me before. My guess is user error. I ended up having to leave with a referral to Quest Diagnostics. I wish he'd recruited someone with more experience after poking my first arm, instead of poking both arms which then meant they couldn't poke me any more. He did apologize. S**t happens, I guess but not the greatest experience.
