I rated her 1 star only because I had to pick one. Really, she gets 0 stars from me. She is a pain…read moredoctor that provides steroid injections where needed. She looked at my MRI of T1-2 and told me there was VERY LITTLE space for the nerve to go through. She contacted a neurosurgeon who suggested getting a different MRI. She showed me just how much room there wasn't at that disc level, yet she still gave me a spinal injection (because my arm had been tingling). I have had many of these types of injections before with no issues! This time, while I was laying on the table, she started to give me the injection, then stopped, apologized stating that she had to do it again. (That never happens). I heard the nurse gasp. When getting ready to go she told me to expect some relief in my arm within 5-7 days. What happened next was a NIGHTMARE!! There wasn't enough room for the nerve to get through T1-2, yet she filled the area with liquid. exactly 5 days later I was in INTOLERABLE PAIN! I felt the pain mid back, behind my scapula and I could not use the arm that she supposedly helped. The pain was off the charts! I had 3 separate ER visits - CT scans and MRI's done. However, I could not get the MRI that the neurosurgeon needed since the pain kept me from laying on the hard MRI table. The injection was June 4th. My PCP tried to control my pain with several attempts of pain meds. Morphine only worked if I took if every 3 hours. An EMS gave me fentanyl in the ambulance and that's the only time I got relief. The severe pain lasted SEVERAL weeks, non stop, no sleep, stoned on morphine, crying all day and night. I got the MRI that I needed on August 14th, almost 2 1/2 months after the shot!! Results showed T1-2 so narrow that I should NOT have gotten the injection. Might I add that she was gone for vacation and I was told that if I needed any help or had questions, her "colleagues" could help me. They had no idea that I needed a different MRI, so they wouldn't re-write her RX to state STAT!! They were no use. They wouldn't return my calls and I NEVER got a STAT MRI. The receptionist was rude. I tried explaining how much pain I was in but she didn't seem interested. The doctors after visit clinical notes did not say anything about having to do a 2nd injection. Her office wouldn't return my calls and I was in AGONY!! Weeks went by and still no word from her office. I do NOT recommend her as a pain "management" "doctor". She's a liar (to cover her own butt), and she should have known NOT to inject anything into the area where there was no room for it to go. 4 ER visits later, pain med trial and errors, no sleep and Pain at 1000 on a scale of 1-10 lasting weeks is what she gave me. The pain was so bad that my neighbor thought I was being attacked at 4:30AM. He said he heard blood curdling screams. That's what this "Doctor" did to me! M advice is to find someone else and run away from her as quickly as you can!

Flag YOU as the problem (as unwilling to try synthetic opioids you already tried in the past as the ONLY prescription pain reliever available, Tramadol, available from that point forward). Leaving you high-and-dry without ANY kind of pain relief what-so-ever and absolutely NO WHERE to turn. My insurance and I paid $HUNDREDS$ per MONTHLY visit for just a piece of paper on a less than 2 minute appointment every 30 days and $THOUSANDS$ for the first visit, including the urinalysis for illegal drug test as the ONLY test she will ever prescribe. I felt like a criminal, even though I was getting the very least opioid prescription available, per "MY" request. I've NEVER, EVER ran out early. Asked for MORE or INCREASED dosages. I've NEVER sold or used them any other way than EXACTLY as prescribed ONLY. I've NEVER used them any other way than the EXACTLY as prescribed, EVER! I walked into my appointment expecting what she had been doing the 9 monthly visits prior and was told, "There's nothing more I can do for you." And I was "DISMISSED". That is a HORRIBLE thing to do to someone with chronic, PROVEN by NUMEROUS tests, pain! I am given the boot to "fend for myself once again" without ANY kind of pain relief at all. It is truly cruel. Absolutely nothing but back to over-the-counter Tylenol, again. Now, I cry every single day from pain and frustration. I spend 23+ hours per day in my recliner. I can hardly walk. I have trouble sleeping. I have absolutely NO QUALITY of life left (this is NEVER going away, it's permanent.) and I just turned 50. I've been on permanent disability since the late 1990's and "THIS" is how I am treated. Like "I" am the problem. I truly do not understand. I have NO relationships or friendships other than a couple of family members because I can no longer do anything at all without experiencing embarrassing pain turning to shaking uncontrollably, then sweating BAD... All due to pain. I am now hoping and praying for a very shortened life-span since there is ABSOLUTELY NO QUALITY to it. Sad. Very sad. Save yourself the hassle and go someplace other than Rockford, Illinois, and definitely "THIS" useless "doctor". Had I known I would just get a few paper prescriptions, then "let-go", I'm not too sure I would have even bothered... Especially once I saw the bills! (She "said on many appointments" that what I was getting was really the only thing she could do for me, then... Contradicted every word of "that".) P.S. Be prepared to be treated just like a "herion junkie" by everyone from the receptionist to THIS doctor if you make the mistake of scheduling an appointment. Trust me, even if you've never ever even done anything illicit, you will still be treated as such. It's really quite awful, making matters even worse, if possible. (All the nurses were usually pretty decent.)

She said I didn't need them and she doesn't prescribe them, then suggested a med I had already tried and it did not work for me. I told her that and she said flat out she doesn't prescribe that med out patient, nevermind the fact that that has been a part of my pain treatment plan for 15+ YEARS. Ended up telling her flat out that it sounds like we'd be wasting each others time. She told me to have my GP find a different provider and walked out, this interaction lasted less than 5 minutes. This doctor lacks any kind of bedside manner, compassion or the decency to care about the patient's quality of life. I never abused my meds and generally would only refill them twice a year as I only take them very rarely. I left in tears, defeated and frightened because I had to find a new doctor after I had been a patient in the clinic since 2003. A pain doctor should be the last person to question the severity of a patient's pain but that's the first thing she'll do.
