I went to this location for a shoulder injury. After the initial consultation, I received professional treatment from Chad and Josh were excellent. On my 5th visit, which I was told would be an evaluation. It all went south. Most of the visit, the lead therapist spent talking to other staff and patients, paying very little attention to me, the patient. Towards the end, he started "cupping" treatment on my upper arm. This became so painful, I was in tears. I have very thin skin, which is very visible to any provider who pays attention, so I was shocked he did the cupping on me. This had not been part of my treatment at any point, and he didn't ask if I was agreeable to it either. I figured he was the professional, but unfortunately suffered as a result, the next day, my arm was swollen and the ENTIRE upper arm bruised. I called the office to find out if I should do something to reduce the swelling and bruising. I was told to ice the area. I sent emails and left voicemails to cancel my next appointment as the swelling lasted two weeks! I never received a call back. I did after several attempts reach the receptionist and explained what happened, and expressing my uncertainty about future visits as it was a traumatic experience and left me wondering about the level of care. Months later I received a call from a young man to schedule an appointment as I still had approved visits. Again I explained what happened and again no call back from the lead or management. Very disappointing to know how little patients matter at this office and an opportunity to improve was completely ignored. Hoping others will not have to experience this kind of care. read more

I really adore the staff. Katie is kind and caring and she follows up on patients. Eddy is very knowledgeable and cares about how patients feel are treated. Chad is an amazing PTA. He's got a great attitude and really wants the patients he sees to be better for themselves. Everyone that I have come in contact with has been amazing as far as the staff. That's why it's sad to see the facility the way it is and how the employees have to work under these conditions. When it rains it gives off a foul smell like mold. There is exposed wires everywhere and the ceiling as well. I come to Cadceus for all of my doctors and it's great but the downstairs looks way better than where I go to do physical therapy. Back in motion has been fantastic. The Pat's have been a huge help in my recovery process and the new PT Chad is awesome. They definitely have been more effective in helping me heal compared to some other offices I have visited. One of the things I especially appreciate about back in motion is the two gals at the front desk, Katie and Robin are so on top of everything. Whether they need something for me, it's scheduling an appointment or asking questions they always go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. A HUGE "THANK YOU" to the folks at Back in Motion. My daughter is a volleyball player who strained her back two weeks before she was due to compete internationally. When she received her referral everything was booked three weeks out. I explained our situation to the office personnel. Robin and Katie maneuvered every open space to squeeze my daughter in to aid in her recovery prior to her departure date. Edwal even offered to squeeze her in during his lunch break. This place used to be the best. Now that they change staff it's not the same. They have this new Therapist (Chad) that mess up my hand. My orthopedic send me there because my hand was hurting a lot. Well.... This beast massage my hand sooo hard that it got swollen. When he was massaging I kept telling him it hurt but he kept doing it. Till now my hand still hurts alot. I had to get a cortisone shot to relived the pain. I don't know why this person is still working there. He doesn't know how to be gentle and caring. read more

I came in expecting great customer service and care like I did a year ago after a car accident. Care and professionalism was absolutely not my experience this time. When I came for first recent visit I had to wait five minutes before someone came to the front to check on me. Then during my visits the staff working on me would have to stop my treatment and leave me standing alone to see people in the front office. I thought they had a bad day, so I decided to give them another chance. I tried calling for two hours to make an appointment but they never answered the phone, so I drove out only to discover they were closed when they were supposed to be open. I took a 10' fall from a ladder the week before Christmas 2021. Tore my rotator cuff which led to surgery in late June 2022 and now a 6 to 12 month recovery. My PT of choice was Back in Motion. From the front office to the aides to the therapists to the students on rotation, (I would name them all, but it would just show I go too much) they all genuinely care about me and my recovery. The physical portion has been tough in itself, but the mental portion has been horribly challenging. They have all taken the time to talk to me, tell me what they are doing, why they are doing it, and what purpose it serves. This has helped me immensely in understanding the process and keeping me patient and focused in my recovery. Today, just 4 months into my recovery and I have most of my range of motion back, which is due to their diligence (and a good surgeon) with me and has been a great morale boost. This office is located in Yorba Linda. Here's my post again that was deleted because I didn't log in first. I was diagnosed by Dr.Jordan for a sprained neck. Very painful. Was told to make appointment with Back in Motion. When I called for an appointment I was told that therapy is NEVER performed the same session as an insurance evaluation. I was surprised and in pain so I quickly made an appointment for out of pocket treatment. I had a wonderful half hour massage by Chrisy for only $30. Wonderful. My neck felt so relaxed and great the next day too. My appointment for the insurance evaluation I was so surprised at. When I paid the $20 copay for this appointment I was told that therapy was going to be performed also. I said I wasn't prepared, not dressed for it or prepared in mind. The very same fella who told me therapy is NEVER performed the same appointment was telling me it would be in person. I reminded him of this and he didn't remember. The therapy was stretching exercises with a brief massage. Terrible. The pain I felt the next day from all that stretching on my sprained neck was unbearable. Than they send an online bill for $20 more. That would make it a $40 visit. Why would I pay $40 for a therapy visit when I could just continue paying $30 out of my pocket for a full massage with no stretching done. Which I don't want anyway. It's sprained. Would I stretch a sprained wrist? Ankle? Than why would I stretch a sprained neck? They told me not to pay the $20 remaining balance since I was told it would only be the evaluation and only a $20 visit until I talk to the woman in charge that will call me. I tore both sides of my left meniscus and I was in serious pain, both from where it tore, and also with a lot of arthritis. I could barely walk. Back in Motion is an amazing place. Individual help, caring and professional staff that stay with you as you work out. BUT....the most amazing thing was a massage BEFORE we started each session. Josh worked on my knee, loosening each tight muscle, making it possible for me to work more successfully. Nothing hurt, every exercise is explained, and I was given photos of exercise I can do at home, with details so I do it right. They answer questions, and help you know what to do in between sessions. I'm now going to my gym a few days a week to walk in the water and strengthen my knee! I went there with fairly severe knee pain, unable to even walk a few days prior to coming in. Within a couple months, I was up and walking as if nothing were ever wrong in the first place. I was diagnosed with a shoulder bone spur after an X-ray and visit to my General Practioner. Surgery was not recommended at this time and a six visit prescription was written to Back in Motion Physical Therapy. After a consultation with Dr. Gorman and my first initial visit, my shoulder range is better and discomfort has been drastically reduced. All of the Front Office and Phyical Therapy staff was very professional and knowledgeble during my visits to the office. I am happy with my sessions. It's a nice place, wish they could dim the lights and run more relaxing music like Enya. And wish the brief massages before exercising was longer, and the icing at the end longer too. Overall, I like this place still. Wish they could serve hot coffee in morning sessions, ... I am not a water person, in winter time specially love coffee aroma. Especially when I have early morning appointments... I met Kim before, and recently Joshua and Glenn. All are nice folks, but Joshua is the best in terms of massages you get. The office manager is very kind, and very polite. His name is Richard. I don't normally do this, but I had to write a review on Back In Motion because I feel the amazing help I received from there needs to be recognized. I had a bad back injury with two herniated discs. I wasn't able to do everyday tasks without immense pain. Right from the start Kim listened to me and had a lot of info for me to start my journey to get better. When I was at my worst and Kim was on maternity leave, a different physical therapist Josh, who ended up being my main therapist, took time to listen to me and really try to do everything he could to help me during my sessions and consistently sent me home with additional at home therapy exercises he felt would help me. I did all I was told to do and thanks to his great advice, care, and concern as well as all the help from the assistants I am a new women. I am back to working out and working at my job with very little pain.
