The food was amazing drinks were on par with excellence but the highlight of the night was superb bartender Foti . Being Italian, I appreciated the kind of service and attention this great young man gave us. He is a throwback to the days of old and while we don't spend much time in Canada I suggest anyone passing through stop by, because they will not be disappointed

The penne alla vodka seems to be popular -- I've heard people say it's good -- but after trying it three times (including tasting from friends' plates), I have to say it's just average. It tastes like something I could make at home, and I'm not even a cook. At my friend's birthday, I decided to switch it up and ordered the funghi risotto, which five of us at the table got. The portion was tiny, the rice was overcooked, and it honestly looked and tasted like porridge. We all ended up returning it, and I had a pizza instead -- which, to be fair, was actually pretty good. Overall, the food just doesn't match the price point. And for anyone saying this tastes like "authentic Italian," as someone born and raised in Italy, I can tell you it's more like Americanized Italian food.

Scarpacci Ristorante is nearby so I went there. When I got there at 6pm, there was just just me and another fella. Here's the view from my table in the corner. There isn't a lot of choice on the menu. I orderd the whole wheat penne with Italian sausage in a tomato basil sauce. It arrived in about five minutes. Hmmm ... that should have been my first clue. I despise parm cheese. Usually with pasta, you are asked if you want some. This came with it already on top so I scraped it off as best I could. The sauce was okay. The pasta was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overcooked to the point of being mushy ... not enjoyable at all. The sausage was good and garlic bread was okay. Needless to say, I didn't eat it all. Tim, the server, was very attentive and made sure I was well taken care of. I didn't have the heart to complain to him. I should have ordered in pizza.

I checked into the hotel and decided to check out the Italian restaurant for dinner later. When I walked in and asked for a menu, the man told me that I would find one in my room. When I asked if he kept any in the restaurant, he hesitantly pulled one out at the bar. Then I asked if I could show it to my wife in the car he said "NO! TOO MANY MENUS DISAPPEARING FROM HERE! YOU KNOW THE HOTEL DOES NOW THIS RESTAURANT. I was a little surprised at his response... Then he goes on to say these menus are 50 dollars, use the one in the room! This guy turned me off so much, I'm glad the keg was down the street. What a poisoned environment.

For dinner time they dim the lights to provide a cozy and romantic setting. Our server Jamie was very friendly and patient. She brought us waters right away while we looked at the menu. We ordered 2 Amsterdam blonde lagers to with our dinner. They served the beers in chioled mugs. The beer was smooth and refreshing. My wife ordered the Lamb rack and I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with peppercorn sauce from the Fall prix fixe menu $69 for 3 courses. There's a choice of appetizer and dessert. I got the Dicarlo Italian meatballs and Chocolate black out cake. The Italian meatball dish was served with garlic bread and basil tomato sauce. The garlic bread can be dipped in the tomato sauce. The mains were outstanding. The lamb rack was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of seasoning. The honey roasted potatoes and vegetables were a great compliment to the dish. The 12 oz ribeye was grilled to perfect medium rare and topped with peppercorn sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The chocolate black out cake was a nice way to celebrate my wife's birthday. The cake was rich and Overall the food was great and service was exceptional. The staff came by to take a photo for our special occasion. If you are in the Oshawa area I recommend this steakhouse.

The bill came to around $700 dollars. Wildfire missed out on a $700 sale, maybe you should run your business a bit more professional. I don't even want to give you a one star, but the KEG gets a 5 star.
