They are all very friendly, and not just because they want to sell you something. They are genuine people. They encourage you to shop around other stores and see that they are offering very fair prices. They have a great selection. I got a La-Z-Boy recliner from them. After about a month I just wasn't happy with the looseness of the fabric. We went back in and Zack said no problem, without even seeing it. They came to my home, picked it up and had one of their upholsterers fix it free of charge to us. He did an excellent job and it was returned to us quickly. Rumple did not hesitate to make this purchase right, while being friendly about it. You rarely can find customer service like this anymore. They will be my go to furniture store from now on. She was very knowledgeable about the product and, in fact, made me aware of a new furniture option (power recline!) that none of the other dealers we had contacted even were aware existed and that we really wanted (we had considered a lower quality set just to get this option.) Susanne was very patient and helpful through the process even though we spent hours pouring over fabrics before making our final selection. We never felt any pressure during the selection or sales process. Delivery was made the day after our custom furniture arrived in their store and set up was professional and courteous. Rumple has a great selection of furniture, truly something for every budget. They offer free delivery within a certain radius of the store. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about the whole experience.

Great Customer Service…read more I was referred to Schewel by my appliance repair person when he discovered that my washer was no longer fixable. The customer service was tremendous and friendly. The sales staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The only downside that I found about doing business with this company was the delivery charge. I think that in light of the cost of the appliance that I purchased $99.00 delivery charge is exorbitant. I was especially surprised that the fee did not include installation or haul way fro the old appliance. I chose to have my appliance repair person pick up the item and install it which was slightly less expensive however it did include installation and haul away.

The front of the building had various vendors set up selling items as part of the 100 mile yard sale. We knew Preston's did a lot with wood but did not know much about the antique part of their business. After visiting we know they primarily work with wood pieces and the antique part is small. They do have some very nice live edge slabs, cookies and make some really nice furniture with them. They even had an adjustable work desk built out of a live edge slab. They do some work with epoxy resin as well. Their prices seemed reasonable and we were able to talk to both Preston and his partner who were very friendly and helpful. Great spot if you are looking for live edge type furniture. We are confident they can also do custom pieces as well.

Four foot Pine started at $10 and we got a 7ft piece of maple for $65. Anywhere else you'd pay double or triple. There are also some great antiques inside the shop. Everyone in the shop is friendly. Even the two pups! Bring cash to make things smoother. We'll definitely be back!

Everything is well organized and clean. We purchased quite a few items because they were just great deals. I was surprised to actually find some nice looking flooring, area rugs, decorative items, a large area of pet supplies, clothing, kitchen supplies, great prices on storage bins and kids toys. A little bit of just about everything and anything. Definitely worth a visit.

In comparison to local and even Winston-Salem, this Elkin store is much higher in pricing and they do not seem to care when asked. I saw appliances in this store which are higher than the same model at another local store. Most of the furniture can be sourced in Winston-Salem at Ashley Furniture for less money than this Babcock in Elkin. So be aware and comparison shop. So knowing the pricing is higher you may or may not want to buy here. Beware "other costs" which are less elsewhere or even free elsewhere. As for the sales staff. In interacting with 3 different, they seemed not to care about what the purpose of my visit was. Almost as if they would rather be doing a different job. At no point were they friendly or really helpful. Most successful sales people I have dealt with could easily turn around a sale regardless of the price. These were not those people. I have visited 3 times since their open and found no really good reason to return other than to see if there any improvement Judge for yourself. But make sure to to ask the final price and get detailed sales slip.

Some of the prices were a little high. The selection in the household section was limited. On the bright side, they have some pretty good furniture to choose from. They also have some neat hanging lights. They sell books, appliances, old records, lighting, Christmas decor, and other items. We wound up parking across the street at the farmers market. He purposely told me I could wait 7 more days to pick an item up after I was telling him I had no way to haul due to vehicle issues which occurred after the purchase. I will drive out of town to go to statesville habitat or elsewhere before I deal with this crook again! I am sure he pocketed the money himself!!!
