Kids World - It is hot here!

I wouldn't even give this daycare center 1 star if I could. I'm still appalled at what happened…read more My boyfriend was picking up our 8 month old son since I was going to be working late. When he arrived at the center (an hour earlier than I normally do), he told the person in the front area that he was there to pick up his son and gave them our sons name. A few minutes later, one of the center workers came out with the wrong baby!! While I understand that there could have been some confusion because this other boy has the same name as our son, the fact that our son is only 8 months old and this other boy is over a year old, PLUS the fact that our son has blond hair, blue eyes and VERY pale skin...this HISPANIC boy should NEVER have been mistaken for our son! My boyfriend is very obviously NOT Hispanic either. To make matters worse though, once he told them that that was not his son, they walked him back to the infant/1-year old room. There was only one teacher in the room, who was on the 1-year old side, and our son was all alone on the infant side strapped into a bouncer that had been placed into a crib!! Are you kidding me???? I was furious when my boyfriend told me what had happened. Needless to say, he did not go back the next day and we have found another daycare center. What makes it even worse is that when i went to the center a couple days later to get some of his things that were still there and complain, they acted like it wasn't a big deal. If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy daycare....STAY FAR AWAY FROM KIDS WORLD!!!!!!

I would never in another lifetime let my child go back to this daycare! Staff is very aggressive,…read moreand rough with the children. I caught one teacher aggressively setting another child one the little red chairs. The director of this daycare is also very rude, along with other staff members. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE!!!

The teachers are so kind, patient, and dedicated -- they take the time to really get to know each child and make them feel welcomed and loved. The classrooms are clean, fun, and full of learning activities that keep the kids excited every day. The staff communicates well and always makes sure families feel supported and included. My child has grown so much socially and academically since being here, and it brings such peace of mind knowing they are in such good hands. I'm so grateful for this center and the amazing team that works here. I couldn't imagine a better place!

CRAP daycare. The teacher my daughter had for 6 months was lying to our Face every day. INCLUDING…read morethe director knew about it and coincidently "stepped down" RIGHT before I was finally told the truth by the new director. And they did not plan on telling me, I was only told because I started to dig and ask questions. So pretty much I paid them for months 221 A WEEK for my 5 year old and they let her brain rot. Do not bring your children to this location. The teacher and the old director are still allowed to work with the kids and the new director highly disrespectful definitely treated ne different. My daughters whole entire mood would change as soon as we dropped her off there she would legitimately get sad as soon as we pulled up.

The Roth Family JCC of Greater Orlando - Kind & experienced personal trainers and a fitness center with new equipment

We are new to the JCC. My son is in the step-up to preschool program this summer which is going to…read morelead into a part-time preschool (K2) this Fall. We chose the JCC due to their excellent reputation for having great programs and warm, loving, highly certified teachers who have been there for years. They welcome families from all faiths, cultures and backgrounds and do not ask you for this personal information on sign-up. Sign-up process: Very smooth. We signed up for Fall preschool some time around Valentines day this year (yep- 6 months in advance). Be sure to call in January and get the exact sign-up date for the year. They take a certain number of students and then start a waitlist. They keep their class sizes relatively small and will try to hire teachers to maintain the proper ratio. They have both full time and part time classes. Beware that they open registration to previous students and siblings of previous students first. Step-up: This is a class conducted in the Shayna's Village wing of the facility. It's a stepwise process introducing your child to being in a classroom environment. Starts off with caregivers fully engaged along with children, then a few weeks later all caregivers on the sidelines, then a few weeks later, caregivers drop off children and can view progress through the one-way window if desired. Very good for kids used to being at home alone with caregiver who parents want to gently transition to classroom environment. They have a set schedule with repetition which is very helpful because young kids are more comfortable being left alone once they have the routine down. My son enjoys a variety of activities including music, Judaica, outside and indoor free play, snack and story time and circle time. Amenities: Family JCC membership comes with enrollment for the school year! They have a great fitness center with classes like cardio/dance bootcamp, activities like Israeli dancing and potluck shabbat, and childcare opportunities like drop off for date nights. During the summer we have been enjoying the pool parties which happen once per month and include lunch. They have tennis courts and recently started a pickle ball league. Facility: On the older side but very well kept. Classrooms very clean. Lots of additions to the original building make for a maze-like feel but once you are there a couple of times, you can find your way. The entrance has double doors and you are required to show ID prior to entering (unless you have your membership/key card). There are security guards on campus. Promotes a feeling of safety without it looking scary. There is a new Barnies coffee stand in the front with yummy drinks, some snacks and treats. New families should be sure not to miss new parent orientation so you can get an overview of all of the services and events.
