There's an area for children which is always welcome if you're a parent, but not so welcome when you're an adult and have to sit on the little chairs because the grown up chairs are all taken. Staff are generally helpful and good natured, even at 6am when you're using the drive through and it's -9 outside. Car park is good, location is good. What else... umm if you're shopping at Tesco you might want to stop here? This is the first McDonalds for those approaching Peterborough from the A1(M), excluding the McDonalds on the A1(M)/A605 junction. If you miss this McDonalds, continue along the Parkway two junctions and there's the mothership of McDonalds. The prize gherkin in the Peterborough Big Mac crown. Boongate McDonalds. So really, don't worry if you miss out on the McDonalds Serpentine Green experience. It's just a McDonalds.

You just get the feeling that they are always pleased to see you, they have good banter and the general customer service is second to none, you can tell that raw ingredients are chosen carefully and the cuts of meat don't have much fat on and the veg always taste good There is not a restaurant including McDonald's in the city center that gets you your food pipping hot in the time it takes. My pricing score reflects the voucher I used, I'm not sure at full price whether it would be my new regular pizzeria though.

When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full which is usual for a Saturday evening. We sat down ordered our drinks and food which arrived swiftly. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ended. After we'd finished our meals, we sat for 45 minutes waiting for our table to be cleared. We tried to get the attention of the servers but we were constantly ignored and our table was avoided. There was no communication as to when someone could clear our table or when we would be offered the dessert menu. After 45 minutes my Dad took our plates up to the food counter and said he understood they were busy but we didn't want the plates on the table. The person who served us came over to my Dad was extremely rude, said he was 'really busy' and 'he would get to us when he could' in a stroppy and sarcastic tone. The server then proceeded to throw our plates, knives and forks. Then one of the chefs came over and said 'we are really busy' in a condescending tone. Obviously we were aware they were busy but we were extremely patient waiting for 45 minutes waiting for our table to be cleared without any communication and the severs ignoring us. After these two altercations with the staff, we decided to leave. When we were paying, the person who served us was once again extremely rude and when he found out we weren't leaving him a tip for his appalling service he told us never to return again. After the experience we had today, we will never be returning to this restaurant and suggest you spend your money elsewhere.
