Not sure where to even start: Just finished my 2nd stay here. Most of the nurses, for the most…read morepart, were attentive and nice. The facility was clean,The food was so not good, my family dropped food off for me. Dr. Galati was nice and appeared to care about my concerns and health. Nurses: Thank God the NIGHTMARE male nurse that was working in the daytime on my 1st stay has been relieved of his duties. He was arrogant, rude, condescending, and no where ever should he be allowed to care for sick people. He had a very bad nasty attitude. The techs on day shift were nice and helpful, but--the male on night shift named Mike was horrible! The one and only time he entered my room at night was to sign a piece of paper. I had surgery and could not do for myself 100%, and when I called for help, he wouldn't even show up. I called and asked to be cleaned up for over 2 hours and when I kept calling because he didn't show, I regretted that decision because when he finally showed up he was mad! He was yanking me all around, was very rough, wiping me in such an awful way. He wouldn't even speak to me, but mumbling under his breath something about me being nasty, and when I started crying, he screamed: "what are you crying for!" I reported to my nurse and asked who do I report him too? She stated the charge nurse. I asked to speak to them. All that did was get me no help at all. That tech should not ever take care of vulnerable people. The next time I needed cleaning, I just laid in it for hours until daytime. No way was I going to be abused again. When my day tech came in the morning, I told her my skin was burning. She stated my skin was red and inflamed. She was kind and nice and put medicine cream on my skin. I was so thankful for her. The exercise people were great and helped me get moving again. Would I ever go back? Only if that tech wasn't taking care of me. He shouldn't take care of no one!

I am so disappointed in the level of care that my grandfather received while he was in this…read morerehabilitation hospital. When he was first admitted, my mother faxed all the living will and power of attorney papers to the hospital and not once did she receive a call from a doctor or nurse about his treatment or care while he was there. She had to call herself to find anything out after he texted her telling her how miserable he was being in there. My grandpa wears hearing aids and once released, he explained to us that they never took them out of his backpack the entire time he was there so he had no idea what was going on with his health, meals, or treatment plan for two weeks. He became very depressed while he was there and slept pretty much nonstop, we were under the impression that at a rehabilitation center he would be woken up to do exercises and get his health back on track, but he was allowed to do as he wished and there was no improvement in his condition while he was there. When he was finally released, the hospital was terrible at communicating with us what the proper protocol was and had no idea where his medical equipment was or if it had been delivered to his apartment. How would it have been delivered to his apartment if the family wasn't informed that he had to have it delivered, he lives alone! Once that was finally straight, he was missing medical equipment that we were told he would have, but apparently we were given a list with items that would cost extra and weren't told those details. The nurses were rude every time we called and offered no help. The worst part was when he was discharged and we showed up to pick him up the nurse couldn't even tell us how often he was supposed to have oxygen. She said "I don't know, maybe it's in his discharge papers somewhere" and explained that someone had read those to my grandpa without his hearing aids in. When she flipped through the discharge papers, she couldn't find the answer in there either so we never got the answer to that question. The shape my grandfather was in when we picked him up was terrible, he was FILTHY. He had on the same clothes he had on for two weeks and we were never told to bring him new clothes, even though we were dropping things off for him DAILY almost and he HAD NOT HAD A BATH OR SHOWER FOR TWO WEEKS. He told us that they had been having him wash himself with a washcloth in the sink to the best of his ability. It was absolutely disgusting. He had barely eaten since he had been there and told us that they never gave him an option of food, just brought him random things (he is a pretty picky eater, but if they would have given him an option he would have found something he liked). No worries though, the nurses sent us home with the leftover old spoiled fruit we had brought him two weeks before for him to snack on, it was never thrown out. We only brought him a meal a few times and when we did we had to heat it up before we brought it because they refused to heat any food up for him, so that was really inconvenient also. I advise you not to use this rehab center, find literally anywhere else for your loved ones. We could have given our family member better care at home.
