I have a big appetite. I'm also a cheapskate.
B3 patisserie draws me and many others for takeaway lunch because it ticks both of those boxes. They're justly famous for gourmet baguettes made on premises. They don't make them to order but I argue they don't need to. The range is fantastic and though I haven't tried the vegetarian options I'm yet to have a bad baguette.
A 'grande' for 6.50 has better quality fillings and is more substantial than a Subway footlong sandwich. A 'petite' version of each is on offer for 4.50 and is closer to a normal size filled roll. Their soft drinks are cheap and the staff are very courteous despite being run off their feet in the middle of the day.
My recommendations in order of preference (each comes in grande and petite unless they've run out - try to get there before 3pm)
1. Chicken Waldorf
2. Prosciutto with cucumber and seeded mustard
3. Brie and bacon
4. Chicken tandoori
5. Roast beef
