I initially found Texas Massage on Groupon, so I contacted the establishment to verify the possible restrictions and to see if they had next day availability. They told me to just book directly with them, and they will honor the Groupon price and yes they had availability. The receptionist asked if I was okay with a male massage therapist and added how great he was. Sure, I'm okay with him, esp since I had some areas that needed some extra concern. We arrived, about 10 mins early. We were greeted by the receptionist, with a nice welcome, and instructed us to choose our aromatherapy. I was torn between the relaxation and energizing but due to some muscle tension I went with the energizing. My friend went with a blend of the two. After filling out new patient forms, we were shortly greeted by our therapist. I had Cesar and OMG he was amazing and the massage did not disappoint. He kept periodically checking to make sure the pressure was okay. I opted for a medium firm and it was heaven. Just enough to workout my tense muscle but still relaxing. I had a pain in my neck that I could literally feel Cesar massage out and I left pain free. I didn't get the young lady's name that serviced my friend but she raved about her as well. All in all, it was a great experience and anytime I'm visiting TX again, I will make sure to pay another visit. I did buy the aromatherapy essential oils for home. Can't wait to try them.

Day Spa Patrons - 3 ladies We came just for massages and wraps and were rather rushed through signing in process then whisked down to a relaxation room. While finishing up the paperwork our therapist came to get us. No time to relax. No tour of the facilities, nor shown the changing room which also contained robes which we discovered way later. It was a cooler April morning and my spa room I was put in was cold. My therapist hands were cold as well. I asked right away if she could adjust the a/c and she said no. She did go get me another blanket. The message was very good but my feet were cold the whole time. I put my swim suit on and headed to the hot tub thinking this will be great. Hot tub was not even heated yet for the day - put was on. When I asked about it they said to go to the front desk. The lady scurried to turn it on. Also the Bathrooms needed toilet paper. There were No towels by the pool. No cushions on pool lounge chairs as shown in pictures. You would think when you first open up in the morning you would have everything ready and put out. A quick tour or instructions would be nice too. For the prices we paid the attention to detail so lacked. I asked where the showers where and was told none and that only certain services included a shower. So if you want to go to a really cool place and pay 5 star prices and the little details don't care to you, then this is your place. I'm so disappointed since I wanted to take a friend there when she came to visit. My take away is that their bread and butter are the overnight guests who sign up for the detox program. It's too bad since they could have a good amount of clientele who are just looking for a nice spa.

Great gym however they allow people to talk on cell phones while on the treadmills, elliptical etc…read more Today there were three girls talking on the phone all at once and one was on speaker and holding the phone out in front of her! I asked one politely to please go outside to the lobby which she did. I asked another politely and she just laughed at me and kept it up for another 20 minutes. I'd had enough and raised my voice to tell her to please take it outside. So one of the front desk people came in and told me my behavior was unacceptable and made them the victim! I was told they allow people to talk on their phones! She was a young girl as were the phone talkers and I'm just an old codger causing trouble. This is so rude. Talking on a cell phone while on a treadmill presents notable safety risks, reduces workout intensity, and breaches standard gym etiquette. Research indicates that conversing on a phone negatively impacts your balance by 19% and significantly lowers your average heart rate and treadmill speed. Loss of Balance: Multitasking divides your attention, causing you to fall out of sync with the machine and significantly increasing the likelihood of tripping or falling. Slips and Drops: Running while holding your phone can easily lead to the device slipping and falling off the machine. Keep it Low/Brief: If you absolutely must take an urgent call, keep the phone to your ear (or use headphones) and keep the conversation to 30 to 60 seconds. Using the speakerphone is widely considered rude and distracting to other gym-goers

So far, I really like working out here. It's quick, affordable, and not one moment of harassment…read more The staff is friendly, and most of the people I pass are quick to say hi or smile. My only fear is that I won't like it at all when it is at full capacity. My husband and I worked out in a room together once, and two people in there felt like enough. I don't know if think 3 people in a room that size is ever going to feel comfortable. Also, why are the saunas so short? I'm 5'5 and can't raise my hands all the way to do a sun salutation. And my 6'1 husband almost grazes the ceiling just by standing. The videos aren't geared to people who are out of shape, only to people who are in shape. So, I worry about people not sticking with it because the videos are so hard. Finally, the towel mats. I understand the need for them, definitely. I just wish they didn't have to be HOTWORX branded. I have a gazillion Manduka ones at home that I can't use. And have to buy more of theirs with their name on it. They're a bit boring to look at.

I am fresh out of college and have landed my first job, which unfortunately is far away. After my moving process, I began calling all my memberships around town and this is the only one that I have had an issue with. I was never told when I joined that there is a 60 day cancellation policy - yes SIXTY DAY. EVERY other type of franchise has a 30 day cancellation policy, which I completely understand and expect. This 60 day policy means that I will be charged TWICE more after canceling - IN A CITY I DONT EVEN LIVE IN. Oh but that's all right, I can cancel immediately if I pay a SMALL fee of $99. I think that is absolutely absurd, I REGRET ever joining Hotworx. It's ridiculous because moving is a very NORMAL event in a person's life and not everyone knows 2 months prior that they're going to be moving. I guess no employee of Hotworx has ever moved in their entire life? Thank you so much for taking away two months of payment from a newly graduated, obviously broke, young person. Please save yourself, there's a sauna in every gym out there - that only has a 30 day cancellation policy because their main concern is your fitness not their pockets. BTW When I told my gym that I moved, they actually waived the 30 day for me - I guess you could call that excellent customer service? Something that Hotworx hasn't heard of.
