I stop in B Young whenever I'm in Killarey to check out the cute tops and dresses. Last time I was there, I came back with a pretty dress that was on the sales rack. Pretty clothes for smaller sized, younger women. read more

It's kind of confusing from the outside and peering through the window, but I promise there is a whole different world up the stairs. We popped in due to one of their window displays, which featured a great shirt. We were on the hunt for this shirt and upstairs we went. We scooped up the shirt and a few other souvenirs for family, then made our way back out to the streets of Killarney. Overall, cool shop to wander around in whether you are looking for formal ladies goods or local souvenirs.

At first I was skeptical because Christie's looked a bit expensive from the outside, especially when compared to the small storefronts of the other souvenir shops in town. However, when I went upstairs to their selection of tourist goods, I was pleasantly surprised. There was a good selection of everything green and Guinness. The price was what attracted me the most because while the items themselves are oftentimes the same from store to store, the price fluctuates. Christie's had low, if not lowest, prices for the souvenir items I was looking for like pins, shirts, and boxers. Location: (5) Located right on the corner of Main and College Streets, Christie's is right at the intersection of all tourist activity; that makes it easily accessible and easy to spot. Service: (3.5) The male cashier upstairs and the female cashier downstairs were both relatively nice, though nothing special. Overall: If you are looking for souvenirs while in Killarney, definitely make a stop at Christie's.

We popped in after lunch and wandered up to the second floor, which houses all the men's wear. The selection of sweaters, beanies, hats, scarves, socks, jackets and more was impressive. So many colors and styles. The store is well maintained, bright, well organized, stocked and clean. We scooped up a beanie, as I find it hard to find one that fits just right, so I was pumped! Overall, solid shop if you are after anything wool while wandering around Killarney.
It's a scam. I…read moreplaced an order. A week later, received an email stating it was shipped. A week after that, I emailed them because no tracking number was received and I wanted to see where the package was. "Oh, it hasn't shipped yet. Give it another week." Ummmm....OK. I give it another week, and reach out again saying I still haven't gotten a tracking. 'Give it 48 to 72 hours.' OK..... 3 days later, I write again. 'Although our system shows it as shipped, it's not generating tracking numbers. Would you like us to ship the order again?' Kind of a weird resolution offered. You insist the first order shipped. So you're confident it's on it's way. But you're now offering to ship it again, so I'd get twice the merchandise for the same price? Companies just offer a refund or credit in these situations.... So I contacted my credit card company and they've reversed the charge. It's now over a month since I placed the order initially and nothing has arrived. It seems strange - like a scam. Equally, if you leave a bad comment about the company on their Facebook, you'll get inundated with other "customers," insisting it's a great company, great products, blah blah blah. Almost like they're paid to defend Aran. I've left plenty of bad reviews on other company's pages and never heard from anyone. Also a bit weird, all the reviews on their website are through TrustPilot, a known scam review website. And their Facebook page had no activity for almost 10 years, before coming back to life within the last few months.

I struck gold! This place has a ton of super cute, locally-made jewelry that fit the bill perfectly. I ended up getting a pair of earrings for my friend and a pin for myself. They have clothing, jewelry, and trinkets such as stickers and temporary tattoos so there's a little bit of everything for everyone. The shop is small so it's quick to visit. The prices are pretty fair especially for the locally-made stuff. Hazel is the owner and was running the shop when I visited, I'm not sure if she has any other employees but she was super sweet when I was there.
