Kim kept my son calm through out and Dr. Chung came in to examine and provide suggestions on possible future services. Communication was poor, appointments felt rushed, and I often felt like my concerns weren't being heard. By the end, I was so uncomfortable going back that I didn't even return to have my braces removed. Dr. Bakar ended up removing them and helping me start over. Finding Dr. Bakar was a complete turning point. From the first consultation, he listened. He took the time to hear my concerns, explain what had happened, and walk me through my options. Every visit since then has been the same. He is patient, understanding, easy to talk to, and never makes me feel rushed. If I have a question, he answers it. If I have a concern, he listens. What impressed me most is the attention to detail he brings to his work. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. As an engineer, he has an incredible eye for precision, and the technology he uses is far more advanced than anything I experienced previously. The difference in treatment has been night and day. I found Dr. Bakar on Yelp because of the great reviews and detailed photos of patients' results. Even though I drive an hour each way to see him, it has been worth every mile. After many prayers, tears, frustration, and regret, finding Dr. Bakar truly felt like an answer to prayer. He came into my life at a time when I had almost given up hope of getting my smile back. My youngest had two loose baby teeth (right next to each other) that weren't coming out on their own. Today she bit into something that caused the loose teeth to suddenly shift and she couldnt bite down anymore. She was crying and in pain. Today is a Saturday and the office was already closed by the time this happened, so I text the after hours number and Dr Bakar immediately said he could meet us at the office in 10 minutes. He came in on a Saturday evening to take care of my daughter and help her get those baby teeth out so she could be comfortable again. We worked with Kylene and Dr. Bottala for his initial consult and once again we had a positive experience. Unfortunately due to his wheelchair not fitting in the X-ray machine, we were unable to get that done, but we were still able to move forward with getting his Invisalign. Yvonne was the person who helped him with getting his Invisalign set up in his teeth and went over all the do's and don'ts of caring for them. She also told him about the patient rewards hub app where he can get points for various things and redeeming his points for gift cards. Great incentive to get the patients motivated to take better care of their teeth! I don't think they had this program when my first son was here a few years ago, but when he was a patient, they didn't offer any incentives, so this is a nice new perk! I really like this office for ortho procedures. I did also get a consult from my regular dental office for his braces, but I just really liked the facilities available here and the fact that they had more appointments that could work with our schedule, so we came back. Dr Lee does…read morenot feel comfortable providing even a basic cleaning to 1st/3rd trimester pregnant women despite all major guidelines including American Dental Association and ACOG (ob gyn guidelines) ensuring it is perfectly safe and strongly recommended. It's extremely important that pregnant women get routine cleanings during their pregnancy as they are at increased risk of gum disease. Dr Lee chooses to go against all major guidelines and enforce his own policy denying pregnant women important dental care that they need. I find this to be a red flag, if he's uncomfortable doing a basic cleaning for someone who's pregnant, I wonder if he is truly confident in his skills as a dentist overall.
