The tree was in a sad state and we were fearful that one of the large limbs would break in high winds resulting in a tremendous amount of damage to our house. We consulted with three arborists, and they all agreed the tree should be removed, but only one of them had a crane large enough to do the job and that was Nick's tree service. This was not an inexpensive project. It was just under $11k. But I cannot speak highly enough of the speed and quality of work that Nick's tree service provided. It took them less than three hours to completely remove this tree. And after they had cut, chipped, swept, and left. You would've never known they were even here, except of course, for the huge hole in our deck where the tree used to be. The entire crew was very professional efficient and got the job done in record time. It was money well spent.

I was told the cleanup could not be completed because of rain, yet the company still came out and mowed the lawn on two separate occasions. Unfortunately, I was not aware that the lawn had been mowed twice, which led to confusion regarding billing. I paid the first invoice, but I did not realize a second invoice had been generated until later. The biggest issue was communication. Updates were either very limited or non-existent, making it difficult to know what services were being performed, when they were being performed, or why scheduled work was being canceled. Clear and timely communication could have prevented much of the confusion and frustration. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for customers who expect reliable scheduling and consistent communication.

I had a struggle on whether to give 3 stars or 4. I went with 4 because they did get the job done…read more I contacted Jaushua to get a bid on an Oak Tree removal. I sent him a pic and he stated flat rate price of $880. I agreed and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 9am. Well, at 9:30am, still a no show. I texted him and he said 30-40 minutes out. If he wanted to make a good first impression, this wasn't it. Call your customer and update them that you'll be running late. It shouldn't be the customers responsibility to call you. When he showed up, he wasn't ready to work, he looked at the tree and mentioned that he might've underbid. I said that's too bad. He contacted his "tree guys" and they were still another hour out. That is a very poor business model, as punctuality and responsibility are important aspects in running a business. When his "tree guys" showed up in a sedan with saws in their trunk, I thought it was a joke. There was no chipper or trailer for tree debris to be loaded in. I was seeing some red flags. One of the guys climbed the tree and threw a strap around the top of the trunk, while the other attached the strap to the front of their sedan and backed up to tension the strap. My thoughts were "oh boy!" They started cutting the trunk and it did fall where they intended it to. They got right to work cutting limbs and cleaning up the debris left behind. They told me they had a trailer coming and it should arrive soon. 3 hours later, a car hauler trailer showed up and the guys started loading the branches on that trailer. It was almost 2 hours later when they finished. My overall thoughts were it was a very unorthodox and unorganized method of tree removal, but in the end, they got the job done and the clean up of the mess was exceptional. Would I use them again, unfortunately, probably not. The price was great, but the whole operation was a tad sketchy. Caveat Emptor.
