My wife and I had only heard of B-Boy Productions through a long time friend of mine, Duane, as he had mentioned that was who he worked for as a wedding DJ. Our wedding coordinator, Heather, gave them a glowing recommendation. We are absolutely happy that we decided to go with them for our wedding entertainment. Everyone that was scheduled was prompt. Both West Steiner, the ceremony musician, and Irving Gil, the reception DJ, arrived at least an hour prior to the ceremony. This was relieving, because sometimes musicians/DJs tend to run on a slightly different time schedule than most. Having them there early showed they were dedicated to being a positive part of the event and it's just nice to have one less thing that could be an issue. West Steiner was great. My wife and I wanted an acoustic guitarist who could sing and he was absolutely perfect. His vocals were butter and he played guitar expertly. He was even able to incorporate two more challenging selections that we requested. My attention wasn't on anyone other than my wife during the ceremony, but from hearing him during the prelude and the countless compliments about how well the guitarist played during the reception, I don't think we could have picked a more appropriate artist. Irving Gil was outstanding. Our reception was a bit different than most. Instead of the normal "play music throughout dinner" portion, my wife and I had mutual friends who were performers and we wanted them to each perform a song. He was able to easily incorporate the instrumentals we provided to him. Not only that, but the music he played prior to performing, while it was music we'd never heard before, fit the mood perfectly and, if it had just been a music backed dinner, it would've been excellent as it was. We requested a DJ/MC from B-Boy Productions who was high energy and engaged the audience and Irving exceeded the mark; keeping the night moving and also joking with our guests with fitting one-liners. With all this, B-Boy Productions would have easily earned the 5 stars. However, B-Boy went beyond that. We had reserved the service from a photo booth vendor to setup during the cocktail hour so our guests could take funny pictures. However, the vendor was unable to perform due to a vehicle malfunction. At last minute, we were able to request a photo booth from B-Boy. It was actually the one aspect of the reception that everyone enjoyed the most. Michael, the photo booth technician, was very accommodating to everyone that used it and actually encouraged guests and my wife and I to continue taking pictures. I would be remiss to not give my friend, Duane Mays, a special thank you. Not only did you help coordinate the replacement of the photo booth, but thank you for being an honest and good friend. I knew that your recommendation was one I could count on and that you wouldn't associate yourself with an organization that was less than stellar. We had our wedding on June 21st, 2013 in Destin, FL. B-Boy Productions came highly recommended to us by our wedding planner. One of the things that sold us on selecting them was that they offered something called a "Signature First Dance" song, which is where you pick your first dance song, and then the bride and groom each tell their version of a story (could be how you met, how you got engaged, etc.) which is recorded. The DJ then edits it and mixes it within your first dance song during the musical interludes. It makes for an incredibly unique experience for both the bride and groom and the guests. We were sold!! We had Sam Blowes as our DJ/MC for the night. He was AWESOME!!! We had a lengthy conversation with him about a month prior to the wedding in which we went over everything- timeline, what we wanted/didn't want, listened to his suggestions, etc. It allowed us to get to know him a little, and him to know us and voice the kind of wedding reception we were looking to have. He completely understood everything we were saying and followed through. He mixed our signature dance song PERFECTLY. We have had several of our guests tell us how cool that was and it has given us one more special memory to hang on to and listen to down the road. Additionally, my husband had planned this "surprise" for me during our vows in which he sang a song. He communicated that with Sam and Sam absolutely "nailed it" during the ceremony. It was a very cool moment that he helped create. B-Boy Productions has an online website that you get your own login once you select them. Through this, you have access to looking at their music library, making selections for specific songs for specific things (i.e. first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc.), can enter in your own songs if you don't see it listed, and look at lists of 100s of popular songs for each event you will do during the ceremony/reception. This allowed us to start planning the wedding right away and helped guide our conversation with DJ Sam. It was very helpful. After the wedding, Sam also provided us with our complete set list from the wedding as well as the copy of our Signature First Dance song so we have it in our iTunes library on our computer to listen to whenever we want. He was incredibly understanding and flexible to work with before and during the event. He did a great job of keeping us on track of our time during the reception and had a lot of energy that he brought to the party. We HIGHLY recommend Sam Blowes to be anyones future DJ at their wedding!!! read more

We had our destination in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida this past September. I communicated via email many times with Brian B several months prior to our wedding to discuss our "wants/needs" for our reception. He was very informative, understanding and flexible with us. B-Boy's client website was also very helpful. It allowed us to have a private log in where we had access to a music library with thousands of songs, as well as the ability to add any of our own songs. This helped us create a music play list that was made perfectly for us. Irving Gil was our DJ/MC for the ceremony and reception and he was awesome! Irving also had Dan with him & he was a great asset to the team! Irving contacted us a few weeks before the wedding to develop a timeline, discuss what we wanted the "vibe" of our reception to be, and he provided ideas and suggestions to make sure everything would run smoothly and just as we wanted. He was very professional and greeted us before the ceremony and was even wearing a bow tie that matched well with the groomsmen attire! He made sure everything was going as planned and was informative throughout the entire event. During the reception, he would come and tell us when it was time for the first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. Irving was the perfect fit for our reception. He was super fun, had a great personality and had lots of energy- exactly what we wanted! He was very interactive with all of the guests and he had everyone dancing and laughing the entire night! B-Boy productions was AMAZING for our wedding on 5/10/14 at the Sandestin Bayview Room & Terrace! DJ Brian B was incredible. Brian did all the sound for our outside ceremony and cocktail hour. The entire reception was perfect. The dance floor was packed the entire time! We wanted a party and we got a party. Everyone had an amazing time. The mixing was awesome and exactly what we wanted (can't wait to see our wedding video so I can re-live it :) The uplighting in the reception room was provided by B-Boy productions (DJ Charles), which was perfect. We also used B-Boy Productions for their Wedding Director services. We were very lucky to have Tara Buonassissi. She coordinated the rehearsal and the entire wedding day. Tara was on top of everything. From coordinating the ceremony, placing last minute decorations, bringing our gifts to our room during the reception, keeping track of my room keys for me :), I could go on and on. Kristin Iversen assisted Tara on our wedding day. We also used B-Boy for the Officiant service.  Pastor Scott Turbeville worked with us to make sure we were happy with the ceremony format and delivered it perfectly. I would recommend B-Boy productions for any wedding. The level of professionalism with every member of the staff ensures they can handle ALL types of events. We had a destination wedding in Florida. I spoke to Brian B (the owner) to tell him my concerns and my expectations for our wedding. He was very informative and easy to talk to. He had both our officiant and DJ/MC reach out to me so I could talk to them, exchange emails and better get to know each other so I could be comfortable with them both before the wedding. DJ Dan Davis made our reception so much fun! He was very responsive from day 1, met with us at a coffee shop with last minute notice because we were only in town for a day. We planned our wedding from a distance and he was very efficient with communicating via text & calls. It was the least amount of stress compared to planning with other vendors! He played all of the requests that we specified including 2 songs for the father/daughter dance. He was very in touch with us throughout the reception checking with the groom & I to make sure everything was OK and to assure we were happy with his services. He got everyone up & dancing easily. All of our guests, including us, were dancing all night and having a blast! Brian B was the DJ at our wedding after-party last weekend, and we could not have been more pleased. We spoke to Brian several weeks before the event, and he was quite helpful on the phone explaining what he would be setting up for the evening and what information he needed from us to best play to our musical tastes. Due to an e-mail mixup, he did not receive our list of songs until several days before the wedding, yet he was still able to deliver what we wanted. The music was great, and all of the guests were having a great time on the dance floor! Brian was even able to incorporate requests that we had during the event itself to add a few additional songs! After arriving in Destin I had a plan for my 20th anniversary and one call to Dwayne at B-Boy productions got the ball to rolling. He put me in contact with Scott Tuberville and we worked out all the details. The plan was to surprise my wife with a renewal of our vows on the beach for our 20th anniversary. Luckily the good lord was watching over us and everything fell into place. I got my wife down to the beach on the pretense that a girl from the condo was going to take a picture of us before dinner. As we walked down the beach Scott and his wife were already in place. My wife was speechless when we stopped and i asked her to marry me again. Chris Alvarado and Dave Posey were the perfect acoustic duo for our reception! They created a laid back atmosphere like we wanted, but were also able to get people up and dancing. They are both very talented musicians and were able to pick up a few songs that we asked them to in addition to their wide repertoire. We also loved that Chris was able to play some of his original music as well, and we all liked it so much that I ended up buying his CDs after the wedding. Overall, we had a great experience with Chris, Dave, and everyone else who contributed from B-Boy productions. Wow, we live in Southern California and had Gregory Pierce as our DJ for our wedding and he was unreal. There were a lot of hiccups along the process of planning my wedding and he was there along the way to not only encourage me and take my worries away but also step in and actually help me figure out the solutions. He was AMAZING the day of, even when the power went out for a minute he made it a really fun atmosphere until it came back on. The king of improvise. B-Boy Productions is awesome! I work for Children in Crisis, a nonprofit organization that provides homes for children in foster care. B-Boy Productions had a Christmas giveaway for nonprofits, and we won! Not only was this amazingly generous of them, but their performance was outstanding. DJ Duane Mays was entertaining and very professional. Their set up sounded fantastic. I was very impressed. When you get things for free people tend to not do their best. This was not true for B-Boy Productions. I could not have asked for a better DJ. I hope we get the opportunity to work with them again. What a great experience we had with B-Boy Productions from the very beginning!! I'm not much of a "planner" and the help I got from Brian from start to finish was invaluable!
