There are a couple of galleries, which always have interesting stuff in, although the prices make me run away usually! At Christmas, they have the prettiest, largest Christmas tree in Nottingham, towering up at the cross point of the arcade. It really is worth a visit in December, and I make a point of using the arcade as a cut through - it also gets you out of the wind and rain for a few minutes!

Some of…read morethe old favourites are still there (John Lewis, House of Fraser, etc) however there are new additions often. Car Parking is sometimes an issue however that is usually as people want to stay on the first parking level....there are 3 levels, as well as an outside upper level! However it's nothing to be overly concerned about. There is always the Victoria Bus Station as well if you prefer not to drive. There is still the indoor market on the second floor which is always fun to have a look around!

I do suspect that it…read moredoesn't get as much trade as it would if it were on the main high street, indeed, we had lived in West Bridgford for two years before we even noticed that it was a shop, and not just a house. Since discovering it, we have found it to be a very useful shop indeed - for cards, and girls. The merchandise is cute and girly - I guess with a name Daisy Daisy you might expect so. Little gifts for gardening, cooking, etc. Photo albums, cute t-shirts, mugs and bowls. There are some lovely items, but they need to be for someone who likes cute. The cards and wrapping paper are top class, you pay for them certainly, but that's what we expect in West Bridgford. Some quite different stuff here. We like the shop - it isn't for everyone, but we like it!!

You have to be quick sometimes if you want something though as they sell out quickly. Their food selection is great! They even have a butchery and fishmongers department so you can buy things fresh. Sometimes things are dearer than you can buy in high street shops so it's worth knowing the prices of things you want before going there. They even have a restaurant where you can sit down and have a cuppa or a meal, so well worth a trip out!

Its horrible reputation of using sweat shops to mass produce its cheap 'n' not-so-cheerful clothing. Sure, I have no idea that stores selling more expensive clothing are trading ethically - but I DO know that this brand thrives on exploitation so I try to avoid it. The store is always so overcrowded anyway on weekends. Personally I don't see the attraction of a throw-away society where nothing is sustainable and things fall apart after a few wears. Sure it's cheap - but does that justify the products - and how they're made?

As expected everything is cheap,…read morebut they often get new deliveries and have large dressy, coats, jewellery and lingerie sections plus a permanent sale by the side exit.
