Just thought it's finally time to leave a review. Plus it's only $5 so well worth it. They also put some kind of aloe or gel on afterward and it does a great job of relieving some of the sting. Only thing I'll say re: vibe is that it's fine, nothing special but idk I'm going in there for brows so I don't really care past hygiene and I've never seen anything that made me think it's unhygienic. My only complaint is that sometimes I pay with card bc I don't always carry cash, and the person at the desk will always give me a small lecture about how they do take card but I should really bring cash bc there's a service charge they have to pay. I get that but in an increasingly cashless society it feels a little rude to make it seem like it's my fault and that I've committed some sort of social faux pas. So I booked my first appointment with Maggie and walked in to the appointment slightly nervous. I've had a bunch of Brazilian waxes over the last couple years but for some reason still was feeling nervous! The first impression of the place was a smallish hole in the wall place but it opened up to a much larger set of rooms with many waxers. The front desk girl greeted me and I was seen quickly by Maggie. Maggie is an absolute gem! Very very nice and welcoming lady who truly seems to enjoy her work. She chatted with me and got to know more about my life which made me feel a lot better about getting waxed again. It had been awhile. I let her know and she was patient with me through the whole process. Now be forewarned! Maggie's technique was different than the other esthetician I went to before. Came here after receiving a giftcard for christmas. I decided to try something I have never done…read morebefore- dry brushing and a salt body scrub followed by a 60 min massage. Wow, dry brushing and the salt scrub was PAINFUL. At one point I thought to myself, why am I paying someone to torture me? LOL The dry brushing felt like someone scraping my skin with a course brush only to be followed by being rubbed with sandpaper (the salt scrub). After the fact when I felt my skin, I was amazed. My skin felt soft as a babies butt! I am not exaggerating, I have never felt my skin be so smooth. Will I do it again? Probably not- it's just not worth the pain or the high price. The massage was epic. Rose gave me one of the best massages of my life. She is so in tune to your body, your energy and that gives her insight on how to help loosen your muscles and get to the root of your pain. I have had deep myofascial work done over the past year, and I was super impressed that when I told her what areas were bothering me, she addressed other parts of my body that contributed to the pain. Most massage therapists dont have the training to know this and will treat the symptom (where it hurts) but wont treat the source which is usually another area of the body that isnt tender or in pain. She knows her stuff and is a pro! She is so good I am looking to have a massage by her again next month if my schedule allows. Every bit of tension, every knot was worked out by her.
