What a house of wonder! Chase really isn't kidding when he says it sells everything, it really does…read moresell pretty much everything you might need for your home. From cleaning products, kitchen items, DIY bits and bobs, cheap snacks, cards and so much more - they've got it covered. If you're a keen shopper/browser it's a veritable treasure chest to explore. My particular favourite is the upstairs section. Here's where the items get slightly less bargainous and become a little higher end... They've beds, lamps and all other kinds of home furnishings in a range of styles. Faux-antique right through to the more modern sleek look. I bought an awesome 'telephone box' lamp for my room at home, which is so kitsch and delightful and only set me back £15. (I can imagine it costing a ton more in a vintage shop!) My Mum was particularly overjoyed with a red painted vase that she picked up as well, of which they had many different shades! So, there's plenty to get excited about, and not too pricey as well. However, all that glitters is not gold. I did come away having purchased a few oil reed scent dispensers (the pots of oils with the wooden reeds) and they simply don't work at all. They were only a pound each, but I can see why they were so cheap as they give off no scent at all! Even so, I'm pleased as punch with my lamp so that more than makes up for it!

It was the first time I'd been in a shop which I cannot categorize by what it sells, IT SELLS EVERYTHING !! From bleach to crisps, rugs to xbox games, they have almost everything under one roof. The only thing I can say lets it down is a lack of electrical goods like TV's but if you're looking for a pack of brass tacks and a birthday card for auntie Mabel this is a good place to start........ and if you're feeling tired you can nip upstairs and pretend you're testing a bed out :)

I don't mean to be mean but I'm just non-plussed when it comes to this kind of store. In fairness, B&M is much more of a Wilko's-a-like than a Woolies. Wandering in I must admit I was taken aback at how busy it was for a school day - there were people all over the place grabbing bargains and queueing for dear life. It felt like I was the only one not in on the secret - was the world ending? No. It's just the people of Pudsey love the B&M goodness. At rightly so, after all, one can buy some seriously cheap cushions, cushion covers, throws, crisps, snacks, canned goods, duvet sets, prints, rugs, wool, sweets and much, much more. They are also selling a faux fur blanket that, I SWEAR, is the softest most AMAZING feeling thing I have ever touched. Really, it was beautiful! For bargains and households, this place is virtually all encompassing!

It stocks a wide range of goods with everything from food and drink, baby and kids clothes, household products, toys and much much more. I often pop in for nothing in particular and come away with a basket it full of goods. Stock turn over is fast so if you see something grab it while you can or you might miss out. This has happened to me in the past when I waited to buy things. They sell big names toys at reasonable prices my son got a fab powerrangers helmet just before christmas, they also seem to stock lots of Ben 10 items which are very popular. They have big names in baby products like Heniz food and simple wipes. Great cheapy store a bit like the pound shops and home bargains

I'd never heard of Dunnes before and so I didn't really know what to expect as I perambulated…read morethrough their large front doors. The first thing to catch my eye was the amazingly cheap bed linen on offer. They were selling some really quite duvet covers for next to nothing! I checked the feel of the fabric on the display cover and it was lovely and soft too so I was really quite impressed. On further investigation of the store I came to realise that Dunnes is something of a 'do-it-all' kind of shop - they had clothes, shoes, accessories, decorative items, house items and more on show in this really quite large shop. It's a little bit of a mix between Wilkos and Primark I guess, with the fashion and homeware items all rolled into one building. Whilst I was loving the cheap prices, I purchased myself a delightfully cheap sewing kit for £3 with a great deal inside, the quality is certainly not of the highest standard. For example, the safety pins inside bend very easily and the unpicker is pretty much good for nothing but accidentally stabbing myself. Unpick it does not. Jab me in the thumb as I try it most certainly does. As well as that the clothes on display, in spite of the temptingly cheap prices, were simply not nice enough to buy. Primark at least is bang on trend, even if their items will only last as long as their latest range - 3 months if you are lucky! I think I'd definitely browse again, certainly for some cheap bits when I move house, but it won't be the first place I think to come. The service I received was reasonably friendly but quite lack lustre. That being said, in a shop like this I'd rather not have someone going for the hard sell as they simply wouldn't get it. It's a fair old browse but not necessarily worth a special visit.

Dunnes is the Irish equivalent of M&S, to all intents and purposes. It's perhaps not quite as good…read morequality, but it's really handy as I live within a couple of minutes' walk from here. There's a particular clothing line they stock, Savida, which is pricier than the ordinary 'Dunnes' stuff, but is really good quality. They sell a lot of nice business dress and jackets. There's also a trendier, funkier line on offer, of which I own a few t-shirts and pairs of jeans, and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called - I'll have to check and update. The underwear is good enough quality and cheap too - got a few bras from here that have lasted and still look nice, and their homeware section is pretty much the same as Primark's but it's a bit more expensive. As it's next door to Morrison's, I find myself drawn in for a mooch about every time I do a big food shop, much to my detriment, as I always end up buying something Worth a trip.

Oh my word. This shop has a 100% sale record with my every visit - does that demonstrate a serious…read morelack of control on my part? Maybe. Does that mean they have some excellent second-hand high end to low end brand labels? Definitely. Let me explain. It's Horsforth. It's New Road Side, and there's a lovely run of little shops along the road. Along one end you'll see Sophie's Choice snugly tucked in between a couple of establishments, and when you spot it, you must go inside. For starters, the staff. They've always been really lovely. If you want a bit of advice because your male housemate is useless at giving a fashion-related opinion, call on the ladies that work there. Secondly, the clothes are simply great. I've no idea where they source their items, but as I mentioned previously, there's simply a myriad of labels. More importantly, the clothes are really different. Whilst labels aren't something that I worry about, per se, being told I'd picked up a dress that was featured in Vogue for only £49 seems like a true bargain to me. And I left feeling super smugly fashionable to boot. Thirdly, the prices are excellent. I've bought a wee jacket here for £15, and new shoes as well. Dresses seem to range from a tenner upward, though I'd not seen any more that about £70 so you know it won't break the bank to find a real gem either. The only slight issue is that the odd item is marked -I saw one with those fatal deoderant marks, but that is to be expected of second hand items here and there. In any case, it's a fantastic little shop and I'm only glad I don't come to Horsforth more often - I'd be broke! One final note: they're old school and don't have a card machine! Never fear though, there's an ATM just down t' road.

Or is it actually appropriate these days to name a dress agency after a book about the holocaust? I concede, or at least hope, that the owner simply wasn't aware of the implications of the name, as this shop is actually a nice idea. You can come here and hire posh outfits for parties, ideal if you don't want to spend £100 on a wedding outfit you'll never wear again. They've got everything from M&S to designer names, and outfits and accessories to suit a range of budgets. It's just a shame they're either poorly read or have a rather macabre sense of humour.

Shaw Jewellers is a great little jewellery shop in Pudsey. As they say, very largely with their…read moresignage, they do more than merely sell a ring or two. Shaw Jewellers is great as you can have them engrave special items, repair any watches, clocks or jewellery as they have an on site workshop - this is great if it's a small job; you can bring the item in, go for a lovely cuppa at Olde Booths, come back and collect, done! Pretty useful to have, as I can't tell you how many rings I have ruined by constant usage. As well as these excellent services they also have a pretty decent collection of jewels and watches for one's perusal! Though I couldn't exactly afford to splash out on a whim, I adored their gemstone bracelets which were on display. There was one with multi coloured gems - which I assumed to be carnelian, amethyst, garnet, aventurine and so on (but don't quote me, I could be totally wrong!) and it was pretty exciting. They also seemed to have gold chains galore, some beautifully delicate bracelets, some gorgeous vintage rings and some rather manly watches too. All in all, be it a special occasion or just a special treat for yourself, this is a grand old jewellers to browse.

I wasn't informed of this on previous visits. Either don't want your custom or unable to deliver a service which is advertised!! People deserve a better service and with manners. Disappointing which deserves a zero rating
