We got the 8-piece dark meat chicken only, plus a biscuit and a medium rice dressing, and it was a lot of food for two people. The chicken was super juicy with a little kick of spice, crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside. The biscuit was bigger than your average biscuit--soft, buttery, and really good. The rice dressing could use a little more flavor. It reminded me of Popeyes, but with its own unique touch. Definitely worth a visit!

The corn nuggets were definitely the highlight; they were really good. My Coke was a little flat, and the fried Oreos were disappointing. They honestly tasted like I was biting into paper, so they weren't worth the money. Everyone has an off day. I'm not writing them off, and I'll definitely give them another chance. Hopefully my next visit is a much better experience. The worker at the counter (can't remember her name) was friendly, respectful, and provided great customer service. They were welcoming and made the experience pleasant despite the issues with the food.

Our favorites are the pork cracklins. Perfect amount of spices and never dry. I love my cracklins to have a little bit of that warm juice fat when you bite into it. They also carry chicken cracklins. I'm not a fan. It's too soft for me. Their crawfish and pepper jack boudin balls are the best. They're not greasy at all. You know it's good when you eat them at room temperature and they're still delicious.

What I enjoyed most was the aesthetic of the building..it's a historic Opelousas bank turned coffee shop, and I was amazed! Woman at the window was very sweet. The jalapeño burger was good- good bun, good jalapeños, good onions. The oyster Po-Boy was a HUGE miss. Few oysters, way too much mustard, bad burger bread. Who puts mustard on a Po-Boy? Fries are fine, regular frozen unsalted. Milkshakes are very good. Ole fashioned.
