John is one of the best contractors I have ever met. Rest assure the job will be done right. Very good pricing! He has done numerous jobs for me. He is also one of the most honest contractors I have ever known. If he quotes the job, and it ends up we didn't need as much material as quoted. He will let you know. John has done work for me for over 10 years, and when he retires. I pray his son will take over and carry on the family tradition of hard work, professionalism and pride!!! Established in 1999.

John Hagood started his landscape career while still in college at Arkansas Tech University. He started Arkansas Valley Irrigation and Landscaping with a partner and after moving to Harrison, created B & H Specialties. He has almost 30 years of experience.

Mark Sloan does not know what he is doing when installing sprinkler systems but he's a really good…read moresalesman. In designing a 3 zone system, he connected 16 pop up sprinkler heads to zone 2 so the water pressure at the last 1/3 of that zone would not properly pop up the sprinkler heads. On zone 3 he connected 14 sprinkler heads and most of them travelled uphill so the water pressure over 1/3 of that zone didn't fully pop up the sprinkler heads. His answer was to install a very expensive booster pump; still not enough pressure to pop up all the sprinkler heads on either zone 2 or 3. Zone 1 had 8 sprinkler heads and operates correctly. I asked for a separate zone dedicated to our landscape beds. Mark didn't incorporate my desires in his wacky design. The sprinkler system should have had at least 4 zones and possibly 5 zones with a dedicated landscape zone. I would not recommend Mark Sloan to do any landscape work.

I cant say enough good things about the service we received!…read more We had a very large dead tree cut down and Johnathon threw in trimming the other couple dozen trees on the property so no branches were lower than 15' off the ground, they blow all the debris off your house and carport because they said a lot of it is from their work, and they take all the wood and branches away. They are very professional and I will 100% use them again. They were also fairly priced. My neighbor even got them to use their little backhoe to do something on his property after they finished with mine. My neighbors commented on what a professional job they did as well. They were as impressed as I was. I heartily recommend. It's hard to find good reliable companies in this area, so it is good to find one. They do a ton of business, so are much in demand and you might have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for them to get to you, but they are worth the wait.
