Carson at Jasper Ridge does excellent work. He was prompt, and arrived right when he said he would. I had him do a straight-forward leaf cleanup and was very satisfied with the result. read more

History

Established in 2018.

Jasper Ridge is not a person or a place, it's both! At Jasper Ridge we are very passionate about what we do. When it came to the business name it was no different. Jasper is derived from a name of the man that ignited my career in landscaping. I was 14 years old and he hired me to help him landscape his backyard. He did more than simply start my career he also fueled my desire to be a business owner. When I think of ridge, I think of the hills I rode dirt bikes on as a teenager. I grew up in the Western Slope of Colorado where the landscape is much different. Ridge reminds me that life isn't only about working hard; but stopping and taking time to enjoy it. The Adobe Hills were desolate and barren. As a landscape company we are able to bring beauty to even the most undesirable places. Jasper Ridge combined makes the perfect company name. Life is about balance. Let us do the heavy lifting for you so you can make the most of your landscape experience.

Meet the Business Owner: Carson J.

From a young age I dreamed of starting my own business. In my teen years my love of landscaping began to grow. I helped a neighbor landscape their backyard. That summer we installed a dry stack stone wall, planted trees and shrubs, installed irrigation and many other tasks. After High School while attending college I started working for a luxury residential landscape company. This is where I learned many of the necessary trade skills. I also the definition of quality work. After college I began working for a commercial maintenance contractor. Shortly after beginning my employment I convinced the owner to allow me to manage the landscape install division. After 5 years I was able to grow the install division by more than 3x. Now that I have started my own company I am able to combine the my experiences and use them to provide the level of service my clients expect. One of the biggest joys for me is seeing the improvement in a project from start to finish.

Earthworks by Justin - Anything Dirt

Proceed with caution…read more This company is deceptive. They lead you to believe they have their own equipment and that certain items 'discussed' for the project are included in the price of the scope of work. This allows them to leave the contract very vague. Then when it's time to do the work they say it's not included in the contract and charge additional money to do it. What is also VERY concerning is that when they are questioned about timing and/or the progress of the work they become defensive and combative. If you choose to work with them, absolutely 100% do NOT take them at their word, make sure to be very specific in your contract: · Require a timeline for completion of work · Require an itemized contract that includes photos for each item · Require all items be itemized by cost · Require that the equipment for the project is listed in the contract · Require that they finish one item before moving on to another · Require a waiver of release of lien after each item is complete · Only pay a half deposit up front and only after equipment is delivered and pay the remainder when ALL the work is complete (include this and all items in the contract). If you give them progress payments throughout the project they will not complete the work. They do just enough work to get as much money as possible and then they do not complete the job. NOTE: Attalie and Justin have a provision in the contract that states they have the right to quit the project at any time for any reason- make sure this is worded to protect you as well. Be ware that Attalie also uses "mechanics liens" language in conversation as a scare tactic. Do not leave any room for ambiguity because they will twist the truth and lie in order to squeeze more money out of you and then literally not complete the work. Remember you are still the customer and without customers they do not have a business. Also see BBB for complaints

If you are looking for help with only planting and you already know exactly where you want things…read moreto be planted sure Hillside could possibly get it done. After having Hillside install irrigation, plants, tress, and landscape lights it has been 2 years of on and off dead plants due to poor irrigation installation. Half of the landscape lights around the property would not come on. It was exhausting contacting them to help with warranty issues only after 1 month. A complete overkill of too many plants that I did not approve. This is not an irrigation and lighting company. They can order or source plants but again know where you want them. I have since had so many issues. Let me save you the time and your bank account being drained and just say "not worth it" Save yourself the headache.
