It was awesome, wedges were not over hyped and were actually really good. And the portion size was decent, the only real complaint I have is the chicken tenders were really salty. read more

I have stopped there before and the food was excellent, Stopped Friday, got the 3 piece meal. The chicken was so salty I could not eat it.

These wedges are hands down the best I've ever had. The chicken is what they're known for and it never disappoints. I love their ranch and the service is that good old fashioned Southern service you'd expect from a gas station selling chicken. Check out my TT for more Tarheelfoodie828 read more

Absolutely the best potato wedges since Holly Farm days...The chicken is so delicious

The employee that waited on me was very rude and a little smart talking. I asked about a charge and was told can't give everything away. I've never seen a place that sells burgers and hotdogs that you have to pay for slaw and chili. That's part of those two sandwiches. I think you're just plain overcharging . PS The burgers and dogs are nothing to write home about, I guarantee. Get same thing at any greasy spoon. read more

Today my husband brought a BBQ. I don't usually complain but it was the worst ever. It was one half inch thick had been mashed flat. No slaw, No pickles and barely any BBQ. They used to be so good!! Was very dry! Was very !!!disappointed! read more

Potato wedges have changed, not as good as they use to be. Chicken tenders wayyyy too salty! Expected better.

Amazing Wedges,The Best Wedges Ever. The service was sort of quick. The chicken is good too! The place is a little trashy inside. read more

Potato logs are fire! The chicken is legit. The cheeseburger was lit! Also competitive on gas prices. Not far off the highway. Highly recommend read more

The food is fantastic and the ladies are always amazing. I will always recommend B&B to anybody!

We were looking for a quick place to stop for lunch and remembered reading about the fried chicken at the B&B Royal in Our State magazine. It's right off of 40, and it is in a gas station. Don't let its location stop you from having a meal here. We both had the chicken breast plate. In addition to the delicious, crunchy, craggy chicken, you get a roll, a delicious, well seasoned cole slaw and a handful of "taters". The taters are basically potato wedges, but they're really, really good. Good seasoning, crunchy on the outside, but soft inside. They're worth getting on their own. But, the chicken is also awesome, so it works out that they both come with the meal. The kid had a corn dog and a scoop of Mac and cheese. They were both pretty good. She was happy. Price was great. 2 adults and a kid, and we spent less than we would have at McDonalds. Service was friendly and quick. The decor is minimal, it is a gas station after all. There were a few booths tucked off to the side, and it was clean and neat. They have a pretty decent sized menu, sandwiches, biscuits, hot dogs, daily specials. I can't speak to any of them, but if the fried chicken represents the way they cook, I'm sure it's all good. Overall, it's a worthy place to stop, get a great meal and have a cool, authentic North Carolina experience. This is not the hipster chicken of Asheville, this is old school home cooking. read more

This place has awesome customer service. Food is amazing! The burgers are priceless......gotta love this place!!!!

The absolute best Livermush sandwiches for Breakfast, and don't forget the chili slaw dogs and tater wedges for lunch!!! I've been coming here since I was a little girl. I live in Mississippi, and always make it a point to visit B&B while visiting my grandparents! It is a MUST! read more

Everytime i call yo place a order for dinner they are always sold out of everything and never have nothing and the kitchen quits cooking at 6:30. So I guess to eat here anymore you have to make sure you eat only breakfast and lunch. I am just getting aggravated that business is this bad and they can't have food later than that. Whats the point then in being open until 9 cause everything else besides the food is ridiculously priced!!!! read more

I was taken here by my husband who grew up grabbing lunch at B and B and I agree... It is the best Carolina style hotdogs around and in the most unlikely of places!! It's the slaw that makes them with the perfect amount of sweet. The slaw is actually an Abee secret family recipe that is used (I hear). You can tell this place has been around for a while and serves only good ole country cooking. I can't vouch for anything else here but my husband says their bologna sandwich I pretty good too! read more
