They don't have enough slots for behind-the-wheel time to fit all their students so you have to wait on a call list. Their business hours are short so you can't reach someone when you try, then they charge you for not calling on time. Their customer service is rude and seems to revel in telling you it was your own stupid fault. When I ask my student daily what was covered in class, I hear "cop stories" again and again. I intentionally selected the priciest option in the city thinking it would be reflected in quality. What a waste.

But he was also fun and funny. I think his name was Ed. If you enroll, be sure you can make it to the classes and the drives. The state says you can only be absent a maximum of 3 times or you have to start over. Also, if you can't make a scheduled drive, you have to cancel at least 24 hours before, excluding non business days. If you don't, you have to pay $60 for the no-show. And, if you need to schedule a different drive after the initial round of scheduling, you might end up still doing the drives after the classroom course has completed. My kid can drive very well by the end of the 5 or 6 week course, and she's fully prepared to take her knowledge and skills test, even though she's not yet 15.5 years old! And I don't even feel like I've taken her out driving all that much - not the 2 hours a week that the school wanted. We will have months to get in our 50 hours for the state, and I know we'll surpass that. I'm very happy that we chose this school for drivers ed.

Every truck we got in had something wrong with it. ABS systems and parking brakes malfunctioning, lights burned out, broken steps, broken heaters/defrosters, wheels locking up on trailers, and the clutches almost gone on most of the trucks, just to name a few things! But the biggest issue for us by far was the lack of proper instruction and care. All of the questions we asked the owner, Jason, were either avoided, dismissed, or answered with, "you don't need to know that right now" or "you need to figure it out for yourself". Another real concern is they dont bother to have students perform important safety steps (such as an air brake test) before heading out on the road. When I aked why this isn't required at 509 Jason said, "we do not have time for safety tests on drives". Yet, he makes every student take the time to fill out an accident report if they hit a cone. Ridiculous and utterly unhelpful! It is clear that making/saving money is the priority for Jason. He made it apparent that neither safety, nor the concerns of students matter to him. When our class tried to discuss with Jason our frustrations, struggles, and the lack of instruction leaving us feeling Ill-prepared for testing, he became angry, told us we were negative, threatened to kick us out of his school, and told us we were "spitting in his face" because this was his buisness that we were badmouthing. I feel like our concerns were pretty legitimate. Like the fact that our instructor had only been an instructor for two days and his inexperience made learning -even the basics- difficult. Despite being really nice, he gave us a lot of misinformation. We told this to Jason. His response: "he is a good CDL instructor because he teaches taiquan do". Jason, told us that he, himself, had not taught a class in over two years and that pass rates were down because of this. The mechanic told us, "good luck passing the B to A exam in only two weeks!! The pass rates are super low for you guys!", and then took us to a stripped out truck and laughed while he poorly explained where *some* of the components *should* have been. While we appreciated his humor and honesty, we told Jason that this made us uneasy because these are all things students are expected to know for their state test and we couldn't learn like that. Again, Jason was dismissive. If you choose to come here, plan to learn basically everything on your own. Question what you are being told because not all of it is accurate, and be prepared to spend a fair bit of time standing in the cold/heat out in the yard, because there aren't enough trucks or instructors to go around. Overall, my classmates and I agree that we found it to be an extremely poor and frustrating experience. Good luck! Maybe y'all can find some place better to do your training, because this place sucks!

Though the actual on road driver's ed instructor was solid and cared, the entire rest of our experience has been meh. Every person I've talked to is not engaging. It's takes weeks to schedule a driver's test and the driver's test instructors are hyper critical. I'm convinced it's possible that they fail students so that you have to continue to pay them more money to retest. They only take cash payments for driving test which is inconvenient. He is a character, for sure, but has never failed to maintain classroom expectations, decorum, and moving through the materials. He has in no way been disrespectful to students, but has kept his word regarding consequences of continued talking or using cell phones during class time. The homework/assignments have been constant learning about rules of the road. If your child is not learning, that is not the fault of the instructor. My child reports what is learned each day and say time is not being wasted, the classroom is moving forward, and while the topics can be boring, the content is doing what it is supposed to do. Students are expected to know when they are scheduled to drive. It's posted clearly on a sheet up front where the student themselves write their name on assigned times. We had one driver cancelled (instructor was hospitalized) and we received a detailed phone message explaining the cancellation. We were not charged. We were also not charged when my student misunderstood about the next day's drive (thought they were with same instructor and also canceled, but were not). Our voice message re the cancel was very exact about date and time of cancelled drive. They forgave the obvious misunderstanding without charge. Every instructor in the car has been kind, funny, and thorough. My child is sensitive to criticism and is a nervous driver. The instructors are building confidence with every drive and my child has reported nothing but good things about the experiences in the car. Is this learning supposed to be the funnest thing a child will ever do. Of course not. It is meant to keep them alive and from killing someone else due to lack of judgement, knowledge, or experience. That includes consequences for failing to bring their permit or missing a class or a drive. This business has a 4+ star rating on the other big G rating platform. Go check it out before you believe all the one star complaining here on Yelp. My child knows LOTS of other kids taking DE from this location. Some have dad's who are police officers. All are getting it done and driving, as the course is designed to make happen. Nothing to fear, if this local is convenient for you, go for it! They aren't ripping people off.

I took my first two tests at 911 Driving School on the north…read moreside, which was stressful because of the instructors and roads, so I decided to try B&B because I heard the guy was nice, the roads are easier, and the person who taught me to drive said it's a good place. The roads being easier is true, but the instructor being nicer is flat-out wrong. I took my first test here on April 2nd 2026 and i failed since i went 7 over which is a rule to an automatic fail I get that and he was nice about it the first day but I went back the next day on April 3 2026 because I knew all my skills I just went a little fast so I fail again and he was nice about explaining what I did wrong then before we both got out of the car he said "you're just wasting money" which is a messed up thing to say! You don't know what somebody is going through, and my mom is a single mom, and she doesn't care about spending money to get my license, but we don't have a lot of extra money since she's raising two boys by herself. So I kept my calm until I got back in the car, then I cried to my driving teacher. So DO NOT take it here, he is not nice and considerate. Also, on the second day, I failed, and I almost hit a car. I looked left, straight, right, left, straight at a stop sign so there were no cars so I went then a car came up a hill going 35-40 way over the 25 speed limit and almost hit him so i automatically failed which I get but going out of the school I was at a red stop light waiting to go right so I waited till i thought it was safe but he rushed me saying "you can turn now" well excuse me for trying to make sure we don't get hit! And I'm pretty sure he's the only guy you can test with, so I'm currently looking for other schools in the valley to test with!
