After taking the certification class, I was able to rent the machine for the day--I've finished up to three quilts in a single session! They even have a break room where you can bring your lunch, which makes for a comfortable and productive day. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful--they really make you feel right at home. She listens to her brides (and MOB), gives wise suggestions and puts your mind at ease because she lovingly showers your gown with TLC. She is knowledgeable and professional. In just a year, she made 3 runway worthy looks and received high praises on all of them. Ms Leona is very professional and she is also patient and nurturing with all of her students as they do not want to leave when their class is over. The students range from ages 11-16 with different levels of experience and she manages all of them at their skill level in a small group setting. They are encouraged to support each other rather than to compete and they really work well together. Ms Leona also teaches adult classes and designs custom clothing for clergy. Lana, the owner, is delightful and super helpful. She asked which of us was the knitter and didn't assume it was me (it is both! But he was the shopper that day!) and she spent a bunch of time showing him options based on what parameters he gave. While they searched I went off on my own looking at the selection and saw she has a really good variety of both workhorse standards and some luxury brands as well. When hubby wasn't sure if he would need 2 or 3 balls due to ambiguity in how the pattern requirements were described, she said if he bought 3 and didn't use the last one he could return it - that is very rare! I suspect he could make something from the third if he doesn't use it anyway but it was very kind of her to offer. She has a cute and very chill pup hanging out at the store with her and many samples to see how various yarns knit up. Honestly if I hadn't gone completely off the rails buying 3 sweater quantities at Alpaca & Fleece last month I would have bought a bunch for myself too when we were there. Next time!
