She is the only person who works there. This salon is by appointment only and you have to wear a mask. Once you walk in she knows you by your name and I always seem to have a great conversation with her. My usual appointment are for eyebrow threading but have gone to her for other services as well. She is meticulous in her work and you leave her salon feeling beautiful. Her prices are unbeatable as well. For the quality of work that she does, I can't praise this lady enough. I went upon recommendation of a friend because the Montreal winter was wrecking havoc on my skin. I was so impressed with the experience and the results. I'm so glad I decided to go to Alina. Although it's a bit of a trek out to Verdun from downtown Montreal is was so worth it. Alina is located in a small salon just down the street from the Metro station - its so unassuming you might even miss it. Her prices are so reasonable compared to some of the places in central Montreal. I guess that's one of the benefits of being located in Verdun as opposed to downtown. Alina is fantastic. She takes her time and she is very professional and knowledgable. I didn't know a lot about my skin type prior to visiting Alina but she does such a wonderful job of explaining ones skin type, the products she's using and the process she goes through for the facial. The products she uses are wonderful. After a couple of professional facials with Alina, I decided to purchase some of the products for home use. Alina suggested which products would be good for my skin but she in no way pressured me to purchase them (which is sometimes happen when you go for a facial). The products are so affordable for the quality and I swear by them now (although they are much harder to find now that I'm no longer in the Montreal area). I have now left Montreal and I have not been able to find someone who does facials that I am as happy with as I was with Alina. It's a shame because her facials were so good at such a reasonable price. I can't justify spending what some of the places charge now so I've decided to discontinue my monthly facials which is unfortunate because my skin is not nearly in the same great condition it was when I was going to Alina.

I have been visiting this salon for over 10 years and when the owner changed (less than 1 year ago) I was very upset because Kim was a very nice and professional master. But after I was assured on the phone that everything would be done no worse, I came and was really very happy with the result. Lam is a very qualified master!!! And all the more so, all the subsequent events look very dirty and dishonest! I have been using acrylic nails for over 20 years due to necessity. Depending on time and money, I visit the salon not every 2 weeks (as RECOMMENDED, not REQUIRED), but usually 4-6 weeks. And I have never had any problems with even a less qualified technician. I sometimes did nail renewal once a year and everything was fine and everyone was happy! I had a normal relationship with Lam, or so it seemed to me. One day he decided to change my nails, although I asked him to do only a refill, I was surprised, but kept quiet. And in vain. And then at the beginning of December I noticed that he was doing a refill in some other technique. When saying goodbye, I said that I would come before the New Year. Lam, laughing, answered that "we will see each other soon". A week later, 2 of my nails flew off, for no reason. When I came, he just hid and another girl did these nails for me. I paid, since it was not her fault. A week later, I lost 2 more nails! Apparently, this is how Mr. Lam decided to fix the problem of frequency of visits and earning money!!! When I came to the salon, he was busy with another client and I said that I would wait. When he was free and I started making claims against him, he started running around the salon and yelling that I come once every 3-4 months and that's why my nails are falling off. But this is complete nonsense!!! Everyone who does this procedure understands that it is impossible. In the end, he said that he would not do anything and that I should go to another salon. How is that? I sat for an hour and should leave with nothing? Then another master did everything for me, I paid, although she did not want to take it (Lam said not to take it). But I also do not want to be indebted to a dishonest person. Lam is also dishonest in that he never talks about a 15% discount at the beginning of the week! It has already been written here (in previous reviews) about the violation of work ethics. Here there is simply a rude attitude towards clients and impudence in making money by any means. I think this case deserves publicity in consumer protection agencies! And I will try to do everything so that this person loses his license to provide services. I do not recommend this salon to anyone! And I will wait until a more adequate owner appears there!
