Tuna Tiradito was a little simple and could've used more acid, and pickle in the cucumber (not to mention that the tostada chips needed to be less thick and dry). However, it was generous, and relatively tasty still, perhaps the second best dish. Finally, the Borrego Lechal was very disappointing. We had literally 3 other great lamb dishes (variations on Borrego Tatemado) this weekend and this was so disappointing in comparison. Sea urchin tends to be on some Ensenada menus and I'm delightfully speculating that it's fresh from the region. Most diners have enjoyed sea urchin in sushi restaurants, but I've got to tell you, this preparation will expand your palate. If sea urchin isn't for you, there are other wonderful pasta plates, such as pasta with truffles, or main courses such as ribeye, branzino fish, a porterhouse and more. The service is impeccable and the ambiance reminds me of a trattoria in a small Italian city. Prices are reasonable and what you'd expect for elevated Italian food. A must visit for Ensenada.
