Let's start off by saying that if I could give this company 10 stars, I would. I rarely ever leave reviews, but felt compelled to do it for Rafael and his team's great work. JOB: Backyard concrete demo and extension of existing patio. Front yard concrete demo of driveway and walkway; create new driveway, walkway, and patio. CHARACTER: Rafael picked up on my first call. Good communication right off the bat. We figured out a time for us to talk out the details that we want and when he could fit us into his schedule. When he first arrived to assess the job, he was efficient and knowledgeable. He got back to me with a fair estimate within the week. Rafael and his team are very friendly and very clean contractors. I know that sounds funny, but for people who have worked with many contractors, you know what I mean. They don't leave their personal garbage everywhere. They clean up the garbage from the demo very well. Rafael is well endowed with geniality. I have a Type A personality most of the time and may or may not have had a minor freak out when I saw how my front yard looked like after the initial pressure wash. However, Rafael assured me that with a magical substance called muriatic acid, the "pawprints" from the antique release powder would be mostly removed. The muriatic acid could not be applied until the concrete had cured (about 3-4 weeks depending on weather). He is very skilled in the use of muriatic acid and knows the threshold before it creates a bad etching on the new concrete. Rafael also likes helping the homeowners pick out the colors. With so many available colors, it's easy to get overwhelmed. We chose our colors because remember, Type A personality here. WHAT WE CHOSE: I've attached a picture of our inspiration -- basically old European cobblestone was the look we were going for. I believe Rafael said he only works with Proline stamps so we chose the Cut Stone Cobblestone. For the backyard, we didn't add any color to the concrete. For the front yard, our main color was Davis DARK GRAY. The border color was Davis PEWTER. To mimic some elements found in stone, Rafael also put on some brown and gray releasing powder. I wanted to get away from the very traditional rectangular/square driveway and create something that is warm and welcoming on initial impression. I told Rafael that I wanted grayish-white "grout lines" and minimal white on the "cobbles". I think he did an amazing job. OVERALL IMPRESSION: We will definitely work with this company again and will highly recommend them to anyone. They are fast, efficient, clean, fairly priced, and great to work with. They do quality work. Our backyard and front yard are now very functional and beautiful. Not that we're looking for compliments, but we get plenty of them from people and even have people slowing down (or stopped LOLLL) in front of our house looking at the quality work they have done. Personally, I also liked working with Rafael and his crew because they also have a creative side to them. P.S. The main reason I added so much detail in review is because I had a lot of trouble picking out a lot of these things. Hopefully it helps! read more

This is our first Yelp review and Aztech Concrete Construction is very deserving of all 5 stars and more!! Rafael and his team were delightful to work with. They are all very courteous and are gentlemen! They repaired our drive- way and the result is awesome. Concrete demo, pulled tree roots, hauled debris, installed new rebar, and poured 5 new concrete slabs near the house. They also evaluated the remainder of my driveway and grinded other slab elevations that were trip hazards. They have a wonderful reputation with the local HOA's and they do quality work. This was the best home improvement project I've ever done with a local business. Well worth it!! read more
