I helped my mother to present her damage claim to the other driver and his insurance carrier. The diminished value of her car after the accident was an element of the claim. When searching for an appraiser to attest to the diminished value after repair, I happened upon this Yelp site. The combination of high and low ratings for the company was a bit confusing, but the A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau persuaded me to give them a try. Briefly put, Collision Claim Associates did an excellent job for my mother. The appraiser is seasoned as to legal matters and well qualified to perform diminished value appraisals. The Vehicle Diminished Value Report was thorough, cost-effective and produced within the promised time frame. The ultimate settlement of my mother's case included the full diminished value amount included in the Report (as well as the cost of the appraisal). After my experience, I reread some of the low ratings for this company on Yelp. In retrospect, I believe that many of the complaints are actually complaints about insurance companies, not Collision Claim Associates. I am a certified public accountant and paralegal, and have witnessed countless legal disputes that involve appraisals. In my mother's case, Collision Claim Associates did everything I expected them to do in a timely and professional manner. Their Report was a powerful element in our presentation to the insurance company. Based on my experience, I gave them a 5-star rating. I do not give such ratings easily.
