I told him that I wanted to know what I was allergic to, so he agreed to do some skin tests on me. He put a whole bunch of drops of different concentrated liquids all up my arm. Then he pricked my skin on each drop. It was apparent right away what I was allergic to. Cats, certain trees, and certain nuts. He also told me that I had Oral Allergy Syndrome, which explained why raw fruits like apples and plums made my mouth so itchy. My tree allergy pricks turned into huge, itchy hives. He said they would go away in a couple hours, but it actually took a couple of days! After the skin tests, he had me sit for a little while and checked my nose and throat to make sure I wasn't having any severe reactions. He also gave me a free sample of Nasonex, which was nice. He gave me a sheet with all my allergies and the degree of each one. I think he did a good job, and it didn't cost very much to get the tests done--I'm not sure why that's not covered by health care though. I definitely need to have more allergy tests done, and I would go back to see him again.

Just gave me piece of paper with the result- how can you give me results if you didn't even looked At what the test did to my arms. I waited 6 long months for that appointment and paid $40 for the test and didn't even get answers. When she left I heard her go in to the next room apologizing to the patient for the wait... i guess not all patient are equal to her when it comes to respect. Very disappointed. Don't waste your time and money in this clinic.... your long wait time for appointment is not worth it.

Horrible. Refuses to talk about the results of an allergy poke test, just gives you a…read morepossitive/negative result sheet at the bloody reception and shooed off. I had some allergens that swelled alot and even after pressing the doctor was blatently told she doesn't answer what poke is what. Allergys are not just +/- they also vary in degrees how does an allergy doctor get away with refusing to answer direct questions to their face. And that's not even mentioning the appointment blunders. What doctor is so clueless as to make their patients 2 hours from the doctor provided appointment time. 1:45pm and still waiting at 3:45pm???

Every…read moreperson I encountered over the phone, in person had spoken quietly and broken English which made it very hard to understand, especially the 2 nurses that were wearing masks. Upon entering for my appointment there was a lady getting upset with reception, he did not seem phased nor seemed to care about how she felt. Meanwhile for my appointment she asked if I had filled out my intake and I said yes, the first time I was supposed to come in a month ago. When talking to reception she would not make eye contact with me, I didn't feel acknowledged, same way I felt when I paid. I then had 2 different nurses who didn't seem to communicate to one another. 10 minutes after pricking me, she comes in and says she forgot a whole panel to test for (which was the whole reason I came in). When asking the nurse questions she brought the doctor in, and he didn't answer my questions with certainty, instead I got a piece of paper that described my allergy... which didn't make sense. LONG STORY SHORT. Prior to coming here what I had an allergic reaction to, their allergy test said I was negative, and things I'm perfectly fine eating--it says I'm allergic to. I think this place is a hoax. I wasted $140. I'm upset and confused by this whole situation

After I left several messages on their voicemail I basically just gave up. They never did get back to me. I live in Yellowknife so I had to fly to Edmonton to do the tests. They then sent the weekly serum to Yellowknife. I called several times in July and August trying to get them to send me the monthly serum. They did not.

The staff seems grumpy over the phone but she's not at all in person. If you need to get your kids into an allergist, Dr. Carr is a great doctor to have! On my first visit navigating the building to get here was a little confusing but that is mainly as I took the stairs instead of the elevators to get here for bloodwork.

He will prescribe you wrong pills, won't remember even giving you a prescription and worst of all he won't tell you when you have something seriously wrong with you.. even when it's right in front of his face. My mom luckily got in with another doctor after his receptionist ignored her calls and she finally got some answers.. after one visit with this new doctor. Also, Dr.Lo yelled at my mom after my sister emailed her concerns about the lack of care he was providing.. made her sign a paper saying he is right and she's wrong. This was a blessing because the ignored phone calls pushed her to find this new clinic and get the care she deserves and needs. So I guess he did one thing right, telling his receptionist to not accept my moms calls. To add, the person that referred my mom to Dr.Lo is having the same problems and was admitted to the ER because he screwed up their medication. Stay far far away from this clinic!!
