Two words.... Booze. Guitar. (or Violin)…read more Not that I'm getting plastered at 2pm on a Saturday, but if you like good beer or red wine, you won't have to worry about getting a bad case of the nerves, that's for sure. For the last class there's some seriously good bourbon. It's a good thing it's not available the whole time or I'd be slurring my chords worse than I do now. But it's a zero pressure class. Though I do feel bad when I disappoint Pete and Adam. I have a healthy dose of guilt for not practicing as much as I should. I may be completely projecting Pete's sad puppy dog eyes though. Speaking of puppy! Pete and Ginger will sometimes bring in their adorable lab/motivational dog. Not distracting in the least. Nope. I'm a rock of self-control. "PUPPY!!!!!" This is my second semester (session??? It's not a credited course) and I'm so happy I could do the two. The Beginner's class learned "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" by Hank Williams. Kismet. Because who went to a screening of "I Saw The Light" with Tom Hiddleston's charming self... ME! If I were a wee bit crazier, I would have brought my guitar for Hiddleston to sign. As it was, it was a close thing. In the Intermediate group, we're learning "Ring of Fire". How did they know? How could they have possibly known how much I love this song? Once I get the chord changes down, there's no way to stop me from singing along. No. Way. Everyone's been warned. And I'm SO wearing my Johnny Cash tee to the recital. The recitals are held at Littlefield ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/littlefield-brooklyn ). We packed the joint. I didn't expect that many people. And it wasn't like when their friend/child/SO finished their set, people bounced. That would be rude. They stayed to watch me completely butcher the whole second half of my piece. Thank God for the bar. Ginger told us that they started giving the student's free pizza because they would be in such a daze afterwards, most of them were leaving their instruments behind. I guess we needed the de-stress carbs. You can rent/buy/bring your own instruments. The purchase price is competitive with Amazon because you are getting a soft case as well. I bought mine and I've already covered my case in patches. My flair obsession has reached ridiculous heights. These classes are an investment in my becoming a well rounded human being, and I'm now 7 chords closer to enlightenment. Thanks Ginger, Pete and Adam!

His gentle mannerisms and patience work well with my boys. There is a posted review wherein the reviewer said his/her child was treated poorly because of her Middle Eastern background. This is simply not true. We are Lebanese and NEVER ONCE over the past ten years has Mr. Ezra, his wife or anyone at the studio, made us feel uncomfortable about our nationality or religion. In fact, in the last several concerts Mr. Ezra has played music of composers of Middle Eastern background with a fret-less guitar. It is a wonderful community that nurtures the students and brings out in them talent that they never knew they had. I hope that even if your children do not express an interest in guitar, that you try a few lessons with Ezra Guitar. Chances are, they will like it!

I hear from other people that they can take on a variety of difficult repairs... I just had some set ups and pick up changes. They were don't well and my guitars play like butter. The vintage prices seem fair and their stock of accessories are top notch. The only reason this doesn't get a five is because of slow turn around time. Obviously they're busy and it's understandable, they do great work and people are flocking over... if this is my only critique, this place is killing it!
