People from all walks of life use laundromats theyre as American as common as the coffee pot…read more However like coffee pots they're not all the same and many arent as useful as others. I have used the Laundry Basket several times since living nearby. What prompt me to do a review was the fact that I will probably be using it more often since the change in my current relationship status(wife has a car I don't, she left and apt washers are unreliable) and the fact that there arent many pictures on the other reviews. Let's start with the hours. They are perfect. If you've ever sat on front of a store waiting on it to open you know what I mean. I can go almost as soon as I get off work and be done before the heat of the day starts b@ating me over the head. First impressions walking in, the place is clean well organized and for an older business well taken care of. There are other laundry services if you need those like drop off washing and ironing. The restroom is clean and well maintained although the toilet in the men's restroom seems to have some issues. The climate control was near perfect unless you chose to sit right next to the windows which of course coupled with the sun produce more heat. I would suggest tinted windows. Theres a vending machine and although I did not use it, it appeared to be in working order. They do have a TV which during my time there seemed to be tuned to a Family Feud marathon. Theres a prize vending machine for the kids which seems kind of old and out of place(should definitely be replaced with a pinball machine or a couple up to date arcade games) but in my lifetime I learned its best to leave the kids at home when going to the laundry mat because I was one of those kids that couldn't sit still at the laundry mat growing up so I know not much has changed because theres very little for kids to do if anything. However, I would suggest letting the kids help wash and fold the clothes to let them see that their clothes arent washed and folded by the the laundry fairy. I did not have the need to interact with the staff so I can't comment on their helpfulness nor job knowledge or attitude but judging by how well kept and maintained The Laundry Basket is I'd say theyre part of the reason why. Bottom line if you don't have a washer and dryer at home and your laundry room in your apt complex is suspect and you're looking for a place to wash your clothes you can't go wrong with The Laundry Basket.

Everyone knows you only get ONE chance to make a first impression!…read more I have a very important event to attend at the last moment, and I need to make a solid first impression myself. I googled dry cleaners with pick-up/drop-off service. From my first inquiry phone call, yesterday, to the gentleman who answered my questions (Walter Johnston), to the, SAME-DAY, Route Driver (Cameron?) meet-up/pick-up, to the--- NEXT DAY (No additional fee---RUSH JOB)... Azalea's first impression is stellar, in my book! Not only do the (DECADE-OLD) suits look brand spanking new ( i KNOW where the stains were!) the dress shirt, vest... everything else does too... they were delivered, as promised, the next day!!!!!!!! In FACT... an HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE the promised time. I've been a customer of another company for almost a decade... because my family uses them. I now have my own company of choice... AND at a better price. So far, so good, Azalea! Keep up the superlative work! I'll be back!

Not too bad of a jump really, 60 cents in 15 years? I've never really had any issues with them doing anything wrong or making any mistakes with my clothes. They are one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest in town. The customer service is good. The turnaround is quick. 15 years, 60 cents and counting, and I'm still happily using this cleaner's services and will continue to do so. Also, I see they clean alot of military and law enforcement uniforms, so they must do a good job. Also, they won't take a credit or debit card for any job less than five dollars, so bring some cash with you.

Southfield Road @ Youree Drive Location…read more My son dropped off and picked up ONE dress for me on 7/13/2026 and the total for ONE dress was $119.60. That is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! There is not receipt for why the charge was so great or anything detailing it a special process was used. This is highway robbery and I will NEVER use this facility EVER AGAIN! The only reason there's one star is because I had to choose in order to post this review otherwise, it would be NEGATIVE 1! UPDATE: As upset as I am about the price, I took pictures of the dress before it was dropped off. When I got the dress it WAS NOT hanging on a hanger, it was folded over a hanger. All this to say, my dress was never cleaned, it was extremely wrinkled and did not smell as if it had been cleaned AT ALL! I trusted Porter's to do the right thing because this is my "mother of the groom" dress. Now, I'm out of $120 (rounded) and still have to have my dress cleaned. This is unexceptionable and I will never use this location again! I will be contacting the owner.
