The prix fixe menus are reasonably priced and the salads that you get for the entrées are really delicious and fresh. The Italian salad that I got with tomatoes, lettuce and mozzarella was one of the better salads I've gotten in France. My husband got the véloute (soup) with mushrooms and chestnut for his entrée and it was also really tasty and had just a hint of sweetness from the chestnuts. It went really well with the bread too. My husband and I both got the quenelles for our plat. It was our first time having these so we don't have a ton of basis for comparison against other quenelles but they tasted fresh and fluffy (not overly dense). It had the crayfish sauce which was delicious and the whole thing was baked and served fresh out of the oven. It had a side of vegetables (cardons) that were made au gratin -they were similar to celery or a leek in flavor. The quenelles were like a fish dumpling made with flour and butter - think of a big fluffy gnocchi or dumpling. Overall, we had a great meal - for 18€ you can get the entrée + plat or the plat + dessert. For a typical Lyonnaise meal, this is a great choice. The owners/servers were super nice and friendly. I would definitely eat here again.

The restaurant is busy but the noise level is not loud. The food is amazing! I was in France for a week and dinner at Le Sud was one of the best meals I had! Eggplant appetizer was bursting with bright flavor. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and the sauce! The capers and brightness were delight, they should bottle the sauce, it was that good.
