Located on the 17th floor of the Hyatt Regency (hotel opened in January). A group of us wandered…read moreup here at about 7pm to check-out the view. Its gorgeous! My pic does NOT do it justice. Sweeping views of the Marmara Sea & Istanbul. Fantastic breezes, contemporary furniture of couches & a DJ spinning cool tunes; we all were swept away by the feel of this place. Hostess sat our group at a great spot overlooking Sea. They serve Ceviche, Tapas, Small Plates & a few desserts; plus, handcrafted cocktails. We had planned on just stopping by for a drink, but ended up watching the sun set and spending the rest of the evening here (we left around midnight, but they were open until 2am). Cocktails: I started with the Red Lips. This was a delicious treat of vodka, Prosecco, pomegranate? with a whipped egg white froth on top. Yum. (had a few of these) Food: all the items were good, but there wasn't anything I had that is a Must Have. The Yellow Fin & the Empanadas were the standouts for me. Yellow Fin Tail Ceviche Empanadas Grilled Rib Steak w/chimichurri & lime dressing Octopus Lamb Cons? Pricey. Cocktails (around $15) & Tapas were LA prices. Smoking. People smoke everywhere. Service was a bit slow, at times. Husband had ordered his martinis with olives, but they kept bringing them with lemons (he didn't mention it to staff). Closed Sunday nights. This was a great spot to end our visit to Istanbul.

Fun spot to unwind after a long afternoon at the Grand Bazaar!…read more It's totally hidden - I love that you walk through a small cemetery to get here. The Wi-Fi is very spotty. Go to the server's stand near the front for best coverage. It was plenty crowded around 6 pm on a Saturday, but there's high turnover and there were a couple seat options for two when we got in. The staff is always walking around so it's easy to get coals for your hookah. Our tea took a while and we had to remind the staff we'd ordered it. The mint hookah's nice and cooling, but it reminds you a little of just having brushed your teeth. The washroom is separate and a little outside, costs 1 TL to use it. It was 22 TL before tip for a mint hookah and 3 teas. You can also shop for lights and hookahs, similar to what's in the bazaar.

There are old paintings on the walls and arabic lamps hanging from the ceiling. We went there in the evening, but even though we were the only tourists in the place full of locals, and the only surrounded by men, we felt welcome and comfortable. The Shisha was good and very strong, at a good price. There was someone to change the guests' coal from time to time without having to ask, as well as bringing fresh tea. It was a very nice experience for us being here and it felt like an authentic Istanbul night.
