The ambiance here is beautiful - hidden in a small alley on a road beside the Galata Tower, there are lights and music that fill up the narrow path here. Outside seating is super quaint, and the inside of the restaurant is nice too, decorated in a very traditional way. We started off with a shepherds salad because I was in desperate need of fibre after two days of straight protein and carbs . It was a simple Mediterranean style salad, with tomato, onions, cucumbers, and parsley. We then shared a chicken shish and, heavily influenced by the meal we had at Antiochia the day prior, a kebab durum. The durum was good - crispy and meaty - but I think we had the best at Antiochia. It lacked a bit of juice. The chicken shish was delicious though; it was tender, moist, and flavourful. The real star, however, was the kunefe. This dessert was by far the best of its kind we've had in Istanbul! It wasn't too sweet, the inside was creamy (and more mild than some other variations we tried), but it was the clotted cream on top and the pistachio crumble that elevated this to another level. The cream made the dish super buttery and fragrant, adding complexity. Would definitely come again just for the kunefe!

We were shopped-out and it was hot. We saw the stocked bar in the restaurant from the street and decided to go in for drinks. The service was outstanding and the house wine was also wonderful. The kids had sodas and we also had some sparkling water. They have good wifi there and it was a slow mid-day, so it was pretty fast. Nice to a cloud picture sync. The restrooms were also clean. The food menu looked great as well even though we didn't get anything.

The restaurant offers gorgeous views of the Blue Mosque, the Istanbul skyline, the Golden Horn, the Bosphorus, and the Sea of Marmara, especially from its rooftop terrace. The food was pretty good, though nothing extraordinary, with most dishes lacking much flavor, except for the mezes. The service was prompt and polite. Prices were steep, clearly reflecting the prime location and awesome views. Overall, we can recommend Seven Hills Restaurant if you don't mind paying extra to enjoy the iconic Istanbul views and perhaps feed the seagulls on the terrace. Glass balconies....just spectacular. The servers will help you get the best photograph, too. I just had dessert here today and it was incredible. Also the fresh juices are wonderful. Super fresh fish dishes and many other options if you want a full meal. Of course it's more expensive than eating somewhere on the street but you're paying for the spectacular view and the service is exceptional. Get there before sunset. Have been in Istanbul for over a month and have taken photographs all over the place but for some reason (the location, height and the glass balcony) this is just a spectacular spot and the photos all look like they're out of a magazine. If it's too crowded on the very top level, just go down one level and there are more glass balconies there for great views and shots.

Firstly, the bad reviews about the bad service, we did not experience but I could see it happening based on language barrier and/or their busy-ness (when it got busy the service noticeably slowed). Secondly, the bad review about the crappy cocktails, based on my crappy cocktail I'd have to say that was spot on. After the bad cocktail review I ended up thinking that the reviews regarding cost, so so food and spectacular views was what I was going to get. I can happily say we found the food to be excellent. I would definitely recommend the zucchini flower and the Miso salmon, both were very good. The table had the mushroom Rigatoni, three types of Sushi, the rack of lamb and the risotto and all came back as very good. My one complaint other than the cocktails was the calamari portion was extremely small. Aside from that small complaint I found the food to be as expected for this style of restaurant. Everyone must keep in mind that you are without question paying for the view and it is very trendy which leads to the expensive label that it has been saddled with. The views are amazing by the way. I'm not sure if this is a regular thing but there was live entertainment throughout the night which really made the evening that much more enjoyable. I would definitely come back but I do realize that there are cheaper options that aren't as trendy with the exact same views.

Not really happy about being charged cover and a service charge but it is what it is. Service was good and our food came very quickly.
