We were at the Long Bar located inside of the Raffles Hotel. It was a very long bar you can drink nice cocktails and have some fun before meal even you can continue to drink after meal. It has been opened the first time in Singapur in 1880. Then it became a tradition for all the Raffles Hotels. They continued their signature cocktail called Singapur Sling in all countires.
We learned information about mixology from talented bartenders of Long Bar. The difference between bartender and mixologist is like the difference between chef and cook. Mixologist is the person who took more education, well informed about sector, worked in facilities serving more superior F&B service and having widely alcohol portfolio. There are also special courses in USA and Europe for bartenders.
We both tasted and watched the preparation of Yıldız Spritz inspired of Symbols of Istanbul, Yıldız Palace and Forbidden City inspired from hidden China collections in Topkapı Palace. We also tasted red beet chips and sushis with cocktails. They served making from tuna fish and beef aged Presa as sushi kinds.
Long bar is not only composed of bar area. Its saloon was so big and comfortable. There were open terrace area and closed areas you can have conversation while you were drinking your cocktail. #KanGurular read more
