My daughter, in Colorado found a beautiful, handcrafted leather three ring binder that she wanted for her viola and cello music. I was pleased to find that she included Holtz Leather as the source and that they are located in my home town. I visited on a weekday and the staff was polite, friendly and well versed about their products. I purchased the binder, which was carefully placed in a cotton drawstring bag and gift wrapped after being embossed with my daughter's initials. The price was more reasonable than I had expected. When my daughter came to visit recently, we went to Holtz Leather.

Yes Holtz is a leather merchant but they sell much more than that. They have an array of different items, for instance. My wife bought a throw blanket for her daughter and a hanging guitar rack for her son. If you're looking for something different for yourself or as a gift. You owe it to yourself to check them out.

I have a mask and try to wear it in areas that social distancing is not possible (even though I have had the COVID19 vaccine). We were the only 2 people in the shop and no one else including the worker was any where around. When she did come in--she asked if we had masks and offered to give us one. If we needed masks it was to keep from smelling the cigarette smoke smell that filled the room. We left without purchasing the $189 vest we were looking at. I would not recommend this business!!

I wrote Rachel Patton, owner of Taylor's Leatherware an email explaining what was wrong and sent a picture. After two days, she said bring it to "Lynchburg square". I asked her to confirm the address as it was different from the one in her signature. This was her response: "I literally said in Lynchburg on the square next to the bank. Not sure how anyone could get confused by that." This is a business owner mind you. I told her that I am not from the state and have no idea what she meant. I also told her that she was rude. She proceeded to tell me: Rachel Patton 7:21AM (28 minutes ago) to me Sounds good. Don't bring your backpack in. I'm not going to fix it. You're the rude one. I have the full email exchange for anyone that wants to read it. I highly recommend you do not shop here. They have zero customer service skills and frankly, a very shoddy product. Look at the stitching - single stich through the handle and strap. Very poor worksmanship.
