Incredibly unprofessional service. Hard to believe the nastiness and incompetence of the Bloomington location.

Store does not have authority to help me with delivery and has no way of bringing ice cream to me. They cannot communicate with DoorDash, so they cannot help me and are not able to deliver to me. So I had to place new order--which required me to buy additional items to get free delivery (quite a scheme). And since it was 2nd time, I could not use product coupon or Walgreens's percentage off promo spring or Walgreens reward $'s. And online reps can't help so hang up and pass me on to someone else. I've been working on this order for 7 hrs! I no longer have any positive experiences with Walgreens's so I can understand your bankruptcies and store closings. I used to be a fan.

Once they got to closing time they simply picked the phone up and hung it up on me after sitting there for nearly an hour. So incredibly unprofessional and just flat out rude. 800 number doesn't deal with the type of prescription we need filled for my child so I have to hold whenever they give us the runaround and make it impossible to fill his prescription that he has to have to function in school. I am going to research new pharmacies after tonight because I am tired of the incredibly inconsiderate treatment to their patients. I am a nurse and I wouldn't dare hang up on a patient nor speak to them in the manner these folks do. Patients holding for so long when they can't speak to the 800 number is also just inexcusable. So, you ask yourself, why the heck would she say that and give them five stars?? Well, while it is a huge issue for me that I cannot fill prescriptions there with the coverage of my insurance, I ended up there the other night because CVS has decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this portion of Iowa does not need the ability to fill a prescription at 10 p.m. at night. My son, who was in the ER until his release at 10 p.m., would likely disagree. He really needed pain meds, and I had very few options to fill the script. I ended up at Walgreens, resolving that his physical health and well-being was more important than the cost-savings of waiting until morning to fill the prescription. They quoted me the price, and I told them I would deal... it wasn't enormous, and it was better than making him suffer until morning. The pharmacist was very nice. I couldn't fault her for the lame fact that they do not take military insurance. I waited, and they filled the script. When I went to pay, she told me she had found a discount (I honestly have no idea if this was a coupon lying around or the fact that I happened to have a shoppers' card, but either way...). I saved about half on the script and my son slept better that night with the pain meds I was able to get for him. If Walgreens starts taking my insurance again, I will likely not bother with CVS anymore. I much prefer being able to fill and emergency prescription and having a nice pharmacist available to talk to, even in the wee hours of the night. 24 hour pharmacy... what a novel concept!!
