I find Lindsays openign hours very accessible, especially as I am travelling a distance to see her. I have been under her care for almost 3 years and she has given me a personal service. Unlike others who tell you want they think you require, Lindsay listens to your concerns and problem solves to get the solution that suits you. She has refurbished my orthotics and promptly replies to my emails when I send them. Onsite parking is easy and when I have visited the clinic it has always been clean and well maintained and my most recent visit during the pandemic was no exception, with current guidelines of masks, gels and temperature protocols being adhered to read more

This is the senond time I've visited Axis Podiatatry in 11 years, which is testament to how good the last orthotics were. Lyndsay is very thorough in terms of clinical assessment and history finding. Lyndsay carried out a Gait analysis, combined with identification of foot strike. The second assessment also accounted for the fact that I'd suffered a physical lower limb injury in recent years. Lyndsay adopts a holistic view and this was all taken into account in producing new orthotics. I was also happy in that my old orthotics could be refurbished in addition to the new ones. This means for me, I can leave a pair in my work boots whilst wearing the new orthotics in my own shoes/trainers. I'd recommend anyone suffering from chronic ankle, knee, hip or back pain to have a Podiatatry assessment from Axis Podiatatry. read more

Lindsay has helped our family so much! Our two girls now wear orthotics as they were complaining of pain in their feet, legs and ankles. Occasionally, my eldest daughter would also go over on her ankle when walking and running, causing her discomfort. Since wearing their orthotics each day, they no longer have any pain as their feet are supported during the activities and sport they love to do. For years, I knew I also needed orthotics, but never quite got around it. I suffered from pain in my lower back and legs. If I had known how amazing they were, I would have seen Lindsey years earlier as she found that my feet roll inwards which explained the pain. Wearing orthotics now prevents this, providing support for playing netball and running - with no pain!! After wearing my new custom-made orthotics for a short time, the pain in my lower back and ankles stopped. Thank you Lindsay!! read more

During the early months of 2017 I managed (I thought) to sprain my left ankle, turning my left foot into the bottom stair where there was nowhere else to go whilst carrying my grandson. This injury did not improve with the application of RICE and would give way when I thought it was mended during a none competitive game of tennis when moving to play. I attended my GP who referred me to the local hospital in July, I attended the physiotherapy department where I was given strengthening and balance exercises together with a vague diagnosis, there was no improvement . Frustration got the better of me and I decided to see a consultant privately who had the ankle MRI scanned, as a result of the scan I was referred to Axis Podiatry and Dr Lindsay Hill. Towards the end of September 2017 I attended to see Lindsay who stated I possibly had impingement of the ankle ligaments with a bit of peroneal tendon overuse, I had a gait scan analysis and Dr Hill stated the problem could possibly be corrected by a pair of individually made inserts resulting from the gait scan analysis. At the end of October2017 I again attended and saw Lindsay who fitted the inserts into my trainers, I have used them continually since that time and there has been no reoccurrence of my foot giving way. I am now running and playing tennis with confidence in my ankle something I had visions I would not be doing again. I am extremely grateful to Dr Hill whose positive direct approach to my problem which has resulted in an extension to my athletic activities and fitness. read more

I suffered a foot injury 6 weeks before the New York City marathon. I visited the Urgent Care Unit and following X-rays was told I had a foot strain. I made contact with Lindsay the following week and she went out of her way to see me quickly and after talking through my training, examining my foot etc she diagnosed a 2nd metatarsal stress fracture. After it didn't heal as quickly as it should have, I asked her to refer me for an MRI which confirmed her diagnosis and she suggested I was probably deficient in vitamin D (which is why it wasn't healing) and recommended I get a blood test......again she was correct. With her diagnosis and all the help and advice since, I'm now back on my feet and running again. I also got the custom orthotics which have corrected all the problems that caused the injury in the first place and hope to be running for many years to come. Lindsay certainly knows her stuff and I wouldn't hesitate recommending her services to anyone. read more
