I had to write this as soon as I got home after an 8 hour day being tattooed by Frank on his day…read moreoff. He worked with me to conceptualize a cover-up on my wrist. He blew my mind with his ideas. I'm getting a full sleeve, and after rescheduling last week to today (which he was so understanding about), he spent ALL DAY, again, on his day off, giving my piece individualized attention. I couldn't be happier with the progress made, his caring nature, and the attention to the details he gave me. I tapped out around 4.5 hours, and he did 1/2 the sleeve (shading some too) minus the color there of my whole arm. I couldn't be happier, and I cannot recommend him enough. The shop and bathroom were also super clean, like impressively so. Make sure if you stop in to check out all the incredible eclectic and aesthetic pieces around the shop, I loved the huge Chucky doll personally!!!! I'll update with pics once the piece is done and this was only the first of many visits to finish this piece!!

However, once I pulled up, I saw that the area is actually super cute and almost hipster-ish (but not in a douchey way!!) Once inside, I was immediately greeted by a friendly girl and shortly after another friendly girl as well. Since there were a few people ahead of me to get piercings, I chatted with them until it was my turn to get pierced. The gal (holy shitballs I sound like an old man for calling her that) who did the piercing was super nice and very friendly and didn't make me feel stupid. (She ALSO wiped away my tears as she pierced my nose!) I told Ian I wanted a tigerlily on my foot. When I got to the convention we walked to sterilize his equipment and then went back to his stand. They had the most comfortable bench for me to sit on. He told me how his boss builds the benches and arm rests. We talked more about my tat and he quickly drew something. He listened when I told him to change things. He was fast but not rushing. He took the time he needed to make sure it was done right. It no doubt hurt a bit, but the pain was tolerable. We laughed and caught up while he worked. I barely noticed what was happening. Passerbys notice how relaxed I was, and Ian really helped to make the experience (not just cause he's my friend). It has been three weeks almost and it is completely healed. I am consistently getting compliments. Many people think it looks more like a painting than a tattoo. The most important thing is sanitary when getting a tattoo, I believe talent is next then you must find an artist you can talk to. Ian, as a person, has always been an easy guy to get along with. Setting biases aside, I would go back in a second to him. His professional standards are high and his workmanship is excellent.
