I ordered a custom ratchet strap cover in July of 2025. In September some of the stitching on the…read moreback was coming undone, there was a tear where it goes around the boat tower, the Sugarhouse patch was sewn on upside down. And some of the gray coating on the cover was coming off where we pull on it, to put it on. Then we took it to Lake Powell, both plastic clips on the side broke 30 min into the drive home, the flapping dented both sides of my boat. But it also made holes in the cover and ruined the fabric and took the coating off. (30 min of flapping while driving) Also the cover was supposed to be waterproof, I went out to check it in the rain and found my boat soaked with standing water in all compartments and on the seats. I contacted Sugarhouse Industries. They are working on the problem. They started to claim I should have taken the cover off when the clips broke to prevent damage to the cover. Flapping in the wind shouldn't damage a travel cover. Ill update when the solution is solved. At almost $3,000 for a cover none of this should be happening on day 67 of owning it.

While I think they did a good job and I like their products, they were super expensive and I still had 14 more windows that needed to be replaced. In May of this year I started to seriously consider getting the rest replaced. Enter Alpine Exteriors. They provided the third bid and landed in the middle price wise. They were considerably less expensive than Champion (no surprise) and slightly more expensive than a no name company that came out selling cheap quality windows. But Alpine Exteriors quality, service, and selection really stood out. I met with the owner, Hiram Molloy, at my home and there was zero sales pressure and no games. He has access to a number of different windows at all different price points, so he was able to find something in my budget and a quality I was happy with. They were installed a couple weeks ago and that was the real test. I'm pretty OCD and I want perfection. I'm never fully satisfied because that would be impossible, but the installers did a nice job. They were friendly and detail oriented. I asked a lot of questions and spent a fair amount of time watching the install and they were courteous and obviously knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up the mess and used preventative measures around my furniture to keep the mess at a minimum. Upon final cleanup they collected all the stickers from the windows and placed them on copy paper so I could apply for the rebate. Hiram followed through on his promise and mailed me all the rebate paperwork with instructions. If you are looking for a quality window company that offers a competitive price and does what they say they are going to do, look no further than Alpine Exteriors.

I would definitely refer this local business to all of my friends! The owner, Dave, took 24 hours to return my call, but he came the same day and did a bid on our awning. He was very honest and let me know that he was booked out for the next 3-4 weeks. Personally, I feel that if someone can do your job the next day, they don't get very much business. In 3 weeks he called and installed my awning the next day, in 3 hours. We love our awning and they were so friendly. We spent nearly $9,000 on a patio cover after explaining that durability was extremely important because we have large dogs. Nobody bothered to tell us the support posts were thin aluminum that dent incredibly easily. Nobody bothered to tell us the gutter opening was so small that it's nearly impossible to clean and is lined with sharp metal edges. When we first reported these issues years ago, we were essentially told, "Too bad." One owner even admitted the gutter design had been a known flaw for over 20 years. Twenty years. Yet they continue selling it without disclosing the issue to customers beforehand. Fast forward to this year. The gutter is still impossible to clean. Leaf blower? Doesn't work. Hose? Doesn't work. Pressure washer? Doesn't work. The only way to remove debris is by reaching into the tiny opening with your hands, which has resulted in my husband cutting himself multiple times on the sharp metal. Two months ago we called because the patio cover was still under warranty. We were told a work order would be submitted and someone would contact us. Nobody ever did. So today we called again. The first employee agreed that our gutter didn't sound right and told us it should have around 3 to 4 inches of clearance. He said he'd submit another work order. Less than ten minutes later, my husband got a call from management. Not to schedule the repair. Not to apologize. Not to honor the warranty. Instead, he was told they would NOT service our patio cover because I left an honest negative Google review years ago. Think about that for a second. Their response wasn't, "Let's make this right." It was, "You criticized us, so we're refusing to help you." That tells you everything you need to know about this company's integrity. They had multiple opportunities over the years to fix this issue, earn back our trust, and prove they stand behind their work. Instead, they chose pettiness over professionalism. A good company isn't defined by never making mistakes. It's defined by how it handles them. Kool Breeze has repeatedly shown that once they have your money, accountability goes out the window. Spend your money elsewhere. There are plenty of contractors who actually stand behind their work instead of punishing customers for telling the truth.

I asked if he did work for them at that time, his response was "I don't know I don't work with them anymore" I simply asked him if Bush provided a warranty for the labor on the roof they installed. He quickly said "I don't do work for them anymore, so I don't know if we did your roof" I asked if they kept records of the roofs they install and he said "I don't know, I got my guy calling me, he needs materials" and then hung up! Extremely rude customer service. Whether he did my roof or not, he was rude and not helpful in any way!
