If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went in with a friend to get a simple, small tattoo. We went to see if they did walk-ins, it was noon on a Tuesday. The employee that greeted us said they did have time for walkins and asked what we were wanting. We showed him our simple design and with a condescending tone made us feel like what we were asking for was inferior and stupid. This employee then asked for our IDs for paper work and went to grab another employee, the one that would be doing our tattoo. Once this employee saw what we wanted, he printed out the design and after telling him we wanted to adjust some things he had printed out, he got an attitude with us and seemed irritated. This is a PERMANENT tattoo, we were not going to just say yes and not adjust it to how we wanted it. While waiting for him to adjust these things, my friend began to feel pretty anxious and was second guessing if we should do it today or just wait until they felt better about it. We both have gotten tattoos before and wanted to feel 100% about this one, as do most people because it is a permanent thing. My friend began to feel their anxiety levels heighten and decided they just needed a minute. So when the designer came back with the design (which was still NOT what we had asked for), I kindly asked if they thought they'd have more openings later on in the day so we could grab some food so my friend could feel better. The designer caught a HUGE attitude and was extremely shitty towards us. He said "so you're not getting this tattoo?" And I explained that I hadn't eaten that day and we just want to make sure we feel 110% about this permanent tattoo. I told him we just wanted to eat and come back in a bit and I could take a picture of the design so that we could come back. He proceeded to say "nah you have a picture" and crumpled up the design in front of us, so we left.
After feeling so uncomfortable with this situation, we ended up going to Altered Skin Design right down the road from this location. Staff was FRIENDLY, INVITING, WELCOMING, & everything customer service employees are supposed to be. You want to be comfortable when getting a tattoo, so don't give Avon Tattoo Collective your business.
Also a heads up, their shop minimum is $100. For a tattoo that's basically 4 inches x 2 inches, they wanted to charge $120 each. We ended up getting it at Altered Skin Design for $60 each with a much better experience. read more
