I have never actually been to this Aldi before, I was just in the area. There isn't one near me, so I tend to stop by random ones if I am then going home. One thing I LOVE and constantly check their ads for...the organic grass fed ground beef. They don't always have it on sale, and a lot of times you have to buy a 4lb pack, but it is FANTASTIC. If you don't buy into the grass fed organics, that's fine, leave it for the rest of us. If you find it for $3.99...stock your freezer. Then make meatballs. Or burgers. Something that shows off the meat. I don't eat a lot of red meat at home but this is the only ground beef I buy. Today, I found it in single pound packages. I tend to freeze them in packs of 3/4 pounds, so I am not wasting food. Other than the beef, I love their cheeses. Score one for goat cheese under $2. Baguettes, vegetables, and their packs of microwavable rice which are perfect for meal prepping. Also at Christmas I got my sister a wine advent calendar here, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Go, Aldi. Bring a quarter for a buggy (which you'll get back), and your own reusable bags. I bring my tote, it says totes ma goat..and has a goat on it. Or, pay for grocery bags.

We've been shopping at this Beltline location, store #34 in Richardson location for over 6 years…read moreweekly and were always praising this store for friendliness and neatness, however, today the store was almost completely empty, yet the cashier rudely asked me to hold my box while the other lady in front of me was putting her things on the belt, even though I put the divider and there was no one behind me. Then she took out the cat food cans out of my box and recklessly threw those in a cart one by one, smashing other items. At this point there was only one lady behind me, so she did it intently. There was also no extra cart available close to her as is the usual case. My elderly mom was with me and started rushing trying to get out the cans back into the box while holding it in the air not to hold the line which made me ask the cashier that she created so much work for me instead of leaving things in the box as all the other cashiers usually do, to which she again rudely answered: it's your job to organize your items, and you don't understand! Afterwards she refused to give me her name and said: I am the manager. Well, the cashier's cheque did have her name on it. If she was the manager in a store that's usually very clean and friendly, and this time there was a big mess on the floor in the produce section, then maybe the store needs a different manager. Also, while checking us out, she was casually talking with another worker instead of asking him to either clean the mess or help bring an extra cart, etc. as she stated there were only 2 workers. I know the manager from before was an excellent cashier and manager and always respectful which reflected on the store quality.

I think this was a shoppe for a farm but no I was totally wrong. They actually shop at the Dallas Farmers Market and none of the preserves or canned items were homemade by them. Cool idea but I was a little disappointed it wasn't straight from the farm. I will definately go back because the freshness and prices were much better than Kroger or Tom Thumb.

The place had a bunch of unknown brands for a bit cheaper than your regular well known brands. Atmosphere was good. Cleanliness was also good. The staff was also good. The reason for my 1 star is because of the quality of the products and the process that may have been used to preserve them. My son wanted some sourdough to make him a sandwich so I get a loaf of sourdough and other things. This was back in early October of 2018. So we take our groceries home eat some and he asks for me to mk him a sourdough sandwich, I try the first slice because he doesnt like the ends, and it tasted very acidic and rancid. The bag has a date of 10/24 so it must be like 2-3 weeks before it expires. So thats not the problem. I tell my son I will just mk him a sandwich from left over regular bread from kroger we bought the prior week from another store n he doesnt mind. My problem is why did this sourdough taste so acidic and rancid?!? Thats not how sourdough is supposed to taste like! This sparked my curiosity and I kept the sourdough to see how long before the bread went bad and moldy because I think this acidic taste is some sort of additive they are adding in Aldi's breads to make them have more shelf life but in this case it was over sprayed with this stuff and it hasnt molded yet! It is Jan 21st 2019 and I bought this bread in early October 2018. It has been 3 months and counting and this bread has not molded or gone bad! I will never be going back to aldi as this experience has left me very curious as to what the heck Aldi is spraying on their breads or if they even have a quality control process to check if the people they are getting their products are followings fda rules. I found some in November and when I went back to get more they were sold out and haven't had any more in stock. So when I found they carried them, I made my way here to grab some. Pricey? It can be. However the quality that you are getting makes up for price as well as it being available. If you are looking to try a meat that your local market doesn't carry (think bison, swordfish, etc) or just looking for a nice steak or pack of chicken, the options are diverse so you can let your mind run loose as you walk around looking over the offerings. And the staff are super friendly. From helping you locate something to leaving you alone to roam, the help is there if you need it. Small store that lacks a big punch, stop in and give it a look!
