I have tried multiple health providers since moving to Atlanta and this place is by far the most attentive and helpful than any of the others I've visited! They have a full selection of specialists for whatever your needs present them to treat. They also have a practice downstairs that serves as a clinic for walkins and such needs that spring up randomly--colds, etc. The best part of this practice is they have an amazing pharmacy downstairs that usually has your prescription ready before you leave the office door! If I could provide negative stars, I absolutely would... I've been a patient here for 10 years, but at this point this place is absolutely terrible since my original doctor retired. I came in for a visit about a lump in my chest in DEC 2024, and Dr Brown and his team DID NOT SEND THE REFERRAL FOR A MAMMOGRAM UNTIL JUNE 2025; and only did so after I called over and over and finally wrote a bad review for them. I complained then, and nothing... Then when I went back in for a follow up on the findings, Dr Brown and his team decided to just leave me sitting in the exam room for 45min with no word and were acting surprised that I got up and left. Then I rescheduled only for them to call and cancel the appointment randomly the day before with no reason. It is now OCT 2025, and literally NOTHING has been done beyond the mammogram that took 6 months to be sent. NO follow up, NO referral to address findings and NO callback from Dr Brown to even advise what was found. I'm ready to complain to the GA Composite Medical Board. I've called countless times and advised that I want a different physician handling my care as Dr Brown and his team are just NOT IT; and all the management has done was advise that I should come see Dr Brown and then nothing at all. They choose not to return calls, even after they advised they will look into something and call you back.. Management could not care less about the patient needs. Am I missing something??? I am not a fan of Dr Brown, I do not trust him being my physician and I do not want to be his patient AT ALL. My original doctor (Dr Melton) who was amazing retired (or just ran away from this place) and they just assigned this man to me and the care has been trash ever since. They tell you they are sending a referral, but they don't for months. They say they will return your call, but they don't. You come in to an appointment on time and depending on the doctor they've just stuck you with, you'll be sitting in the exam room staring at the walls for 45min every single time you visit. For your own sake, GO ELSEWHERE... To be a healthcare facility, the care is pretty trash. Dr Brown is insanely terrible, management is insanely incompetent and so forth and so on. The very moment Absolute Care became Avita Care, ALL the care went out the window. This place would be better off turned into a Starbucks. I never had any of these problems when Dr Melton was my physician, and this is ridiculous. read more

Last week, January 11 was my last and final appointment with my medical team, Dr Dennis Melton (retired) assistant, Wendy Tores. I could not have asked for or received better medical care anywhere else. Professionalism attention to detail and personal care whether at an appointment or a phone call at home to check on my well-being after hours goes unmatched. I will never receive the level of care that these two individual medical professionals, but more importantly, friends ever again. I consider them both "family". Dr. Melton's care for me in his "doctors way" , he also cared for me as an individual. He knew how to direct my medical care when my personal life was in turmoil, and my future uncertain. When my father died, it was nearly the death of me as well. I'll never forget his ability to take the time needed for me during my extensive grief to see to it that got the care I needed regardless of how long the appointment took. He was there for me as I transitioned from being a working professional into an early and unplanned retirement. The list goes on. His amazing assistant on the other hand ,Wendy could barge in and take a serious situation where my anxiety and blood pressure were sky high and by the time I left the office I was calm and collected. Not an easy feat I can assure you Her in wavering care of me, both personally and professionally will be missed and cannot be replaced. My journey with HIV began in 1983 as naive young man of 17 years of age. Medical professionals at the time wore biohazard suits when entering the exam room to see me. Imagine how that affected me as a 17 year old boy. Covid was a horrible reminder of that time and still rattles me some 40 years later. Regardless of what my appointment was for it always started out and ended with a loving hug from Wendy , a far cry from the latter. In closing I'd like to say that I'm a better person as an individual and undoubtedly alive as a patient because of Dr. Melton and Wendy Tores. Thank you both for 30 years of loving care. I switched over from a local Publix pharmacy to use Aveda care because I had used them for years in Dallas without issue. My month to delivery was supposed to occur today. I was told that their delivery person couldn't get through the gate and took the medication back to the pharmacy. There is no gate. I live in a building with 24 seven Concierge and was home all day. Should they have called me if the concierge was not at the desk. I've spoken to the concierge. They have been present all morning. I called the pharmacy and explained that the delivery driver must've gone to the wrong building and I was home today intentionally because they scheduled the delivery for today. They kept saying that the delivery driver wasn't able to gain access again through the gate that doesn't exist at my building. And delivery has been scheduled for tomorrow. Frustrated. The local pharmacy I was using before is only two blocks away. I could have just walked down there to get these prescriptions. I thought going through Aveda with their delivery service would have streamlined this process to be even easier. So it would appear that I have wasted a day being home to collect the medication and ensure that it goes directly into my refrigerator. read more

I love Dr Ashley at avitacare. I drive kind of far to see her but she's a great doctor with a wealth of knowledge.

This review is not a reflection on Dr. Robinson or Ben as they were the primary reason I remained with this clinic as long as I did. For 13+ years I considered this my primary care and even after moving I would travel from both my New Orleans and Florida homes to continue my care. However, over the past two years I began to notice subtle changes in the practice such as high staff turnover, the absence of long term staff/nursing, a decrease in customer service and attention and the frayed use of lobby furnishings and overall cleanliness of the facility. The final straw was the difficulty of being able to get through to the office due to both faulty telephone issues and inability to get a prescription refill that lasted for more than four weeks. Even communications between my pharmacy and the practice were ignored. When I did speak to an actual front desk attendant, I was told that I had missed a telehealth appointment which I was later told by the office manager was a mistake on his part and apologized. i recognized the time had come for me to find another caregiver/practice that makes its patients health and care a priority. It is unfortunate to see a once thriving, professional and accomplished medical practice become blighted. read more

They don't show the same care for you as a patient. Hence name change from Absolute Care to Avita. No more "care". You are actually a burden to them. How dare you make them work! Take up their time. Won't mention the person I saw. Back when the good doctors were there this person probably coasted, but now they have to actually do something. No more title and coasting. I was a patient of Dr. Melton at Absolute care for almost 20 years. He was a kind man and quick to help in any situation. Now that Avita has taken over they could care less about their patients. Instead of one doctor, now I see three. It takes days of continual calling to get prescriptions refilled and sometimes they don't get refilled on time. I'm told everyone is out of the office and no calls back. Not sure why, but just know that they aren't the best. read more

I had been with AbsoluteCare for over six years and left the practice because of the incompetent in-house lab personnel. Their LACK of customer service and professionalism is outrageous. My last scheduled appointment is what broke the camel's back. After trying to get labs completed, without success, my doctor's nurse scheduled an 8:30am appointment. I arrived on time, called to alert them I was in the parking lot (yes, they were observing Covid19 protocol), and was told that someone would contact me when I could come inside. Well, around 9:45am, after hearing nothing and about to be late for my next appointment, I had to leave. If you're wondering, NO ONE ever called me. I love Absolute care and staff. There is never a time where the staff hasn't gone above and beyond. I needed to share a small vent which can help you save time from your day. Today I waited an hour and 10 mins for a prescription. The pharmacist Kimberly was polite but clearly she forgot about me. I left flustered as she said that it would take a few mintues. The only explanation for the lack of customer service was sorry. The only benefit was I got a nap in the waiting area and a nice male employer woke me up to help expedite me picking up my prescription. My advice, call in the prescription prior or just get the prescription mailed to you. read more

Actually I'm on hold with them right now... for the 4th time, no 5th, no 6th time. 1st HOLD - It took a minute, but when I first called and began to speak she cut me short, and abruptly said, "hold on". I was transferred. 2nd HOLD - Next transfer, took a minute, someone answered I told her I wanted to make an appointment and she said hold on. 8 - 9 minute hold. 3rd HOLD - I was then automatically transferred and they hung up on me. 4th HOLD - I called back, the phone rang, and then they have such poor customer service at AbsoluteCare that she left the phone off the hook... 5th HOLD - phone automatically transferred and they hung up on me AGAIN. Really? What kind of people do you all have as the face and voice of your practice? Why bother. I called September 8th 2015 - 3:55pm - 4:25pm. Whoever was answering phones at that time is a very poor reflection on your practice. very unprofessional. Finally after several transfers and several times being sent to voicemail a woman named Monique answered, she was nice and finally began to assist me. I recently took my daughter for a sports physical. The staff was very friendly. The woman at the front counter was new and had to keep calling another employee to ask questions. Dr. Malik is an outstanding doctor! He's thorough, courteous, and caring. I had experienced several ER visits, procedures, and hospitalizations for about a year and a half. I puzzled dozens of doctors because there was no reason a normal person should have such persistent and aggressive infections that would otherwise be harmless. I saw Dr. Malik who was substituting for my regular infectious disease doctor, and with my first visit, he knew what the underlying cause was. I finally received a diagnosis that was confirmed by the NIH. My autoimmunity is probably outside the infectious disease specialty, so this was an unexpected, but very positive outcome. I am now undergoing treatment for my very rare condition at a prominent medical institution because there is so little known and reported about this disease. I am forever grateful that I was able to meet Dr. Malik and have so many questions answered. read more

I started at AbsoluteCare a year ago. I have had a controlled high blood pressure and uncontrolled diabetes for 18 years, as well as being overweight all my life. I first met with Dr. Hoos who started me in my first journey to a lower blood sugar and blood pressure. Sge recommended the nutritionist Julia who is absolutely AMAZING!!! But the best recommendation was her having me schedule an appointment with Dr. Malik. Dr. Malik is the best doctor who gets to know his patients and works with their resources. Through his care, I have returned to normal cholesterol levels, normal blood pressure, and now controlled diabetes. He has helped me lose 40 pounds in the last 3.5 months. The staff is great, the on site pharmacy is great and the doctors care. Words can not describe the gratitude I have for AbsoluteCare and especially Dr. Malik. read more

Serious scheduling problems at the center. Received a call to reschedule an appointment for a physical the day before the appt, the next appointment a week later I received a call the day of the appt to reschedule and they informed me they could not get me on the schedule for another month and a half. Arrived at the 3rd scheduled appointment a month and a half later to be told the PA was scheduled off for the week. I understand with Covid things happen and you have to be flexible, but by the 3rd time that was enough. They claimed they thought someone called me the day before, but I could clearly hear them just calling the PA'S other patients for the day to inform them she would not be in. My first visit here and Dr. Stahura was great! He really went out of his way to make me comfortable and provide me with as much information about the practice that he could during my appointment time. He explained my diagnosis and educated me on how my body normally works and how my health issues affected the normal functions of my body. I really felt I understood, for the first time, why I needed to do certain things and make certain lifestyle changes. I would have given five stars, but the office staff appeared to be a bit disorganized and inconsistent. Despite being rather technologically advanced with medical records, the staff was kind of left without adequate support for them. The poor front office person was left to fend for herself and help all the patients, while other staff were simply standing or sitting around. The staff friendliness was hit or miss. You either got, really friendly and glad to meet/see you, or you got a dry hello and then short instructions on what to do and not much else. Some of the staff seemed to be bothered that you were interrupting their down time. While others were the best encounter you could have! Overall, I was satisfied with my experience, but you know what they say ... "A few bad apples spoils the whole bunch!" read more

Love my doctor Terry Hackworth. Overall, everyone here is friendly and polite and helpful. They can handle a lot internally, so it's convenient, a one-stop shop doctor's office which is great. I've also had no problems having my insurance cover everything - and they've handled all the paperwork. Phones get answered quickly, and receptionists are on top of it and nice. I went for an introductory meeting with Dr. David Stahura. I was highly taken aback by his demeanor. I realized that as I had a complicated medical case, Dr. Stuhura lacked the intellect to quickly comprehend my needs from a practitioner. The sad part was how hostile he became at his own lack of understanding. It is rare that I allow someone to speak to me the way this man was, especially when there is a professional fiduciary duty owed me from that professional; and professionalism was certainly lacking from Dr. Stahura. As uncomfortable as my case made him, I advised I would stay with my current practitioner, and we would move on. Even then, Dr. Stauhura didn't seem to know what to do. Once the kinks in filling prescriptions were ironed out (whether to fill at AbsoluteCare's pharmacy or through my insurance's mail order), everything is good. Terry Hackworth is knowledgeable and I feel comfortable seeing him as my primary physician. Yesterday I called to see if I could be seen the same day, without an appointment, for an issue with my leg swelling with pain and redness. I was given an appointment with Dr Ann Hoos who is extremely knowledgeable. She was able to treat the issue immediately and I'm feeling better already. read more

I liked Dr. Stahura just fine. Most of the staff was pleasant and helpful. I liked the idea of pharmacy and multiple services on site. The lab area is another story. Loud, laughing, singing, crowded with staff as was the lab waiting area. Very unprofessional. Sick people were waiting for urinalysis, blood tests, or whatever. A medical settIng should be more respectful of each individual's health care. My entire experience was tainted by the staff's blatant lack of dignity towards sick and hurting people.
