    I was over charged thousands of dollars for a rental I had for 13 days. They add a bunch of charges that don't make sense I was charged 4,000 to rent a Chrysler 300 for 13 days I signed a rental agreement that was for a mid size car at 60$ a day amd 14.00 for insurance????? And they billed my card without my consent

My last rental was a 2021 Toyota Sienna Limited Hybrid with low miles. I reserved the van months prior with them only having one or two in their fleet. The primary reason for a van was to use cargo space for my son's college move-in. Communication was strong from Victoria on a tight timeline of availability. Checkout out of the van encountered an issue with the rear seat that delayed my departure out of town 30 minutes. Ultimately it had to be taken in the garage and roughed up by Victoria who had to break it to fold. So I was told it would not be usable on our family 10 day trip. It was not a deal breaker and we still desired the vehicle. We later needed the rear pop up for friends we made it work. The van performed flawlessly and was extremely comfortable. The gas mileage was a staggering 33 mpg fully loaded. The round trip of over 2300 miles it averaged approximately 35 mpg. This van had all the bells and whistles on it, but ultimately it was the amazing comfort that won out. No soreness after up to 7 hour stretches. The check-in process was smooth by another employee with Victoria in a meeting. They told me an a large adjustment would take place with issues relating to the rear seat. Days later I saw the credit on my card and it was extremely generous and appreciated. I love that Toyota Rental Cars continue to be a 100% Toyota operation with newer low miles cars at a similar price you would pay any where else. If there is one drawback it's hours which have improved. Of course I will return and tell others this is where you go to rent quality automobiles and receive award winning service.     I love renting from National, mostly because of their amazing and friendly customer service, but…read morealso because of their Emerald Isle. So, when I got here and learned I needed to go to a counter, but they had a large fleet of cars and this was a larger airport, I wasn't too happy. But the service was very nice. I prefer to look through vehicles rather than having them select for me. In this case, I have top tier status with National and the guy before me with non status (comment was made about it being first time with National) was offered an "upgrade" and given a vehicle I would have chosen from the Executive Emerald Isle. When I get there, I'm offered a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I immediately said "No!" It took him about 5 minutes, but he found me a mid-size SUV, which is all I wanted. They should reserve the "upgrades" (if that was truly an upgrade the previous guy got) for those of us who rent on such a regular basis we're truly entitled to them based on our status. Then when I went to get the vehicle and noticed the size of their fleet, I realized there's no reason this location doesn't offer the Emerald Isle. I rent from many larger airports as well and many many tiny airports and understand why they need to do counter service versus the Emerald Isle, this location shouldn't have counter service. All that being said, the car was great. The service was fine. And I was out pretty quickly. As for National's customer service, one of the most annoying things is when I write a mediocre review like this they post this typical response: "...we would like to know more about your experience. Please visit www.nationalcar.com/en/support/contact-us.html to contact us. Please be ready to provide the rental location, rental agreement or reservation number and your contact information. Thank you." But they make it nearly impossible to contact them, so it's very insincere. If you want to reach out to me, PM me on this site, rather than posting these canned replies.

    Disappointed that the service is not standard for National executive members nor any National…read morebusiness members where you skip the counter, chose your car (any reserved car in the executive aisle) and drive off (after a quick scan). Here, you have to go to the counter, present all the same info they already have, they had no cars, so they gave me some Mazda suv. Filled out the documentation got the keys and then drove off. Drop off was fine.

    Please DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE I BROUGHT A VEHICLE BACK IN 2022 I paid my car note every…read moremonth on time I made sure because I always kept my own receipts so NOW IM ABOUT TO HAVE TO FIGHT IN COURT BECAUSE THEY CLAIM I MISSED only 2 of my payments out of the entire car note which I know to be false they only say that because I was coming in to make my last payment and they wanted more money I BROUGHT A 2010 dodge journey and payments were 258 and the ending price was $7000 and now I have to try to lawyer up because they sent the bill to there lawyers office they had a court hearing without my knowledge and determined that I have to pay $554 to there lawyers office and here I am in October of 2025 still dealing with this and the effect on my credit I've paid 2 vehicles off and never missed a payment I would go hungry just to make sure they were paid and not that $554 has now doubled and the lawyer now wants $1040 for late fees and sending it to collections it's so unfair and they take advantage of nice people and there fake tactics skills to get the cars out the doors and most people are unaware of when going to the dealership trust me I've learned my lesson ALL IN ONE WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DOLLAR FROM ME ... their unprofessional rude and money hungry and my car broke down not even 2 weeks after driving it off the lot I had to pay $800 just to get a alternator put on the part was $200 and they charged me $500 to put it on my car complete highway robbery but it's my fault the car had 186000 miles on it but I needed a car and he knew that just to get it off their hands

I called again to get in touch with someone who could actually give me an answer and he hung up on me in frustration. Do not do business with this company. Heed my warning.
