On October 24, 2025, I made a reservation with Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 4316 FL-46, Sanford, FL 32771 for an extended luxury SUV, scheduled for pickup on December 27, 2025 and return on December 30, 2025. This rental was critical because I was traveling out of town with my family, including relatives who flew in all the way from the Philippines, and we needed adequate seating and cargo space for both guests and luggage. To avoid any issues, I called the branch on December 22, 2025 to confirm my reservation. I was explicitly assured that the vehicle would be available and ready for pickup on the 27th. That assurance meant absolutely nothing. When I arrived on December 27, provided my ID, and the employee entered my information into the system, I was immediately told: "Sorry, we do not have a vehicle for you." At that point, I did not observe any attempt to search for a suitable replacement vehicle or to contact another Enterprise location to see if there was any way to accommodate our reservation. I spoke directly with the manager, Alex, and explained that I had called days earlier and was promised the vehicle. His response was that they had been having this issue "for a week now." If that was the case, why was I never notified? A simple call would have allowed me to make alternate arrangements. Instead, I was left stranded on the day my family was supposed to leave town. I was offered another vehicle, but it did not make sense and did not meet the needs of our reservation, as we still would not be able to fit everyone or the luggage. The entire reason for reserving an extended luxury SUV was space and comfort for a large group traveling together. The only "solution" that was seriously pushed was: "Take this 15-passenger high-top Sprinter or get out of my store." That vehicle was completely impractical due to parking limitations at our destination. When I declined and asked if anything else could be done, I was told repeatedly: "There is nothing I can do." No effort. No viable alternatives. No professionalism. It got worse. When I asked if they could at least give me a ride home (less than 5 miles away), the answer was a flat NO. I was then threatened with the police and told to leave the store. I asked to wait inside briefly because it was hot outside while arranging a ride. I was told yes -- and two minutes later, I was again told to leave or the police would be called. This was done in front of my family and visiting guests. I have been an Enterprise customer for over 10 years, renting in multiple states. I have never experienced anything even remotely like this. I contacted Enterprise Customer Service, filed a formal complaint, and was told an escalation/incident report was created and that someone would follow up to help secure a vehicle or address the situation. That never happened. As of January 5, I have not received a single call, email, or follow-up from Enterprise. This experience reflects: Failure to honor a confirmed reservation Offering unsuitable replacement vehicles that did not meet the reservation requirements Hostile and unprofessional behavior by management Zero accountability or follow-up from corporate customer service Enterprise -- this is how you treat loyal, long-time customers? I will never rent from Enterprise again, and I strongly advise others to avoid the Sanford SR-46 location. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customers is unacceptable. This review is being posted publicly so others are aware before trusting this location with important travel plans.

Anyway, I put a plastic bag and a Zip-tie to keep the power steering fluid from shooting out all over the engine because I care. It's a new vehicle. Next, the manager won't swap the jeep out unless I pay the 4 days the insurance company doesn't cover. I explained to him that I left a message for the State Farm claims adjuster on Friday to ask them to extend my rental because I haven't received my check from State Farm to buy another vehicle. Enterprise also has my American Express on file, and I was working with John to buy a truck from Enterprise. Now I doubt I'll rent or buy a vehicle after that exchange with the manager.

Horrible experience! I would leave zero stars if I could. This week was my first time using Avis…read more I have used other rental car companies many times with no issues even worth mentioning. But this experience with Avis is definitely worth mentioning. Here is a summary of my experience; My company told me they prefer Avis so I decided to give them a try. I downloaded the app and signed up to be a preferred member. When I got off my plane, I went to their counter but saw a sign to continue to the parking garage if I'm "preferred". So, I went to their counter parking garage. When I arrived there, I saw a sign that said to see the leaderboard to find my assigned car. I looked all around for a leaderboard but couldn't find it. So, I grabbed a car that matched my reservation and drove to the exit kiosk. This is when it really got fun (sarcasm). A lady came out of the kiosk and asked for my rental documents. I told her I'd never used Avis and was unsure of how the process worked and asked for her help. She turned to another woman sitting inside the kiosk and explained my situation. That woman began speaking to me, using a low voice that I could barely hear. She did not get out of her chair to help me. She was very rude and accusatory. She used esoteric verbiage that I did not understand. She told me that someone else had rented the car I was in. I wasn't surprised because I figured I wasn't the first person to drive it. I asked her if that meant I couldn't rent the car to which she responded very rudely, "NO!" She said I should have rental documents, and that I should have gone to the original kiosk inside the airport where I saw the sign that said I should proceed to the garage. I explained to her that I was a preferred member and thought that meant I should proceed onto the garage. She asked me to prove that I was a preferred member and I gave her my preferred member ID number. After sometime, she handed me my drivers license back and asked me if I wanted to keep the second driver option that I had signed up for. I said I did. She then said that that driver would have to be with me at the time of checkout, or I could not sign up for the second driver option. Since the second driver was not with me, I asked her to remove it after some time and some typing on her computer, she told me she could not remove the second driver option, and that I would need to return to the preferred area. However, I did not know what she meant because of the language that she was using that was specific to Avis. I kept explaining that I didn't understand the terminology she was using, but she kept using it anyway. Eventually, I said I can't have the second driver option without the second driver being here so what do I need to do to remove the second driver? She said again you need to return to the preferred area. I asked her where this was she said I will have to open the gate and then you will go through the gate on the left and then make a right. I tried this but the arrows in the parking garage indicated that you have to make left-hand turns only so I ended up back at her kiosk I was apologetic and said I ended up back at her kiosk, and she rolled her eyes, groaned, and said in a very harsh tone," you were supposed to make a right I told you to make a right!" again, I apologized and proceeded back through the gate. I did eventually find the preferred area where I parked my car and walked up to the women behind the glass. I explained that I had just been through a very difficult and poor customer service experience and was very frustrated. The ladies told me that the woman at the kiosk had already called them and explained the issue. I tried to offer my side, but they would not listen. They were both rolling their eyes and making comments like, "we're nothing like national", (no joke), and, "that's not how we do it here". I asked them if they could help me. Eventually, they said they could. I was given a parking spot number and sent on my way. No apologies, no empathy, just there to get a paycheck. I hope they get it. The only other comment I have is the car I was given is terrible. It has about 20,000 miles on it, which isn't bad, but the door locks click constantly at a very fast rate, and the check engine light goes off while you're driving it. Needless to say, I did not like this experience, and will not be using Avis again. In the end, I really didn't see much cost savings and for all the issues I had just not worth it. So much for the customer always being right.

Followed the signs which were highly visible and easy to follow, picked a car and drove out. It was that quick. I left a pair of sunglasses in the rental car. I didn't know where I had lost them until I got an email from National at SFB stating they found them. Excellent! Will definitely use National again.

Carl's van Rentals saved the day (and the wallet)!!…read more We were dropped off at another car rental place just down the street where we had originally secured a reservation and that is where the problems began to add up and we knew we needed to find another vehicle rental plan and fast. I would recommend a reservation but .... Carl happened to have a van available for us and was able to quickly summarize our costs for tolls, insurance, and an extra driver. (Beware of other rentals on that strip who will nickel and dime you until you realize you haven't saved a penny by using them.) Jerry was polite and courteous helping us get the van paperwork settled in a matter of minutes without any hidden fees or surprises. We initially rented a 12 passenger van for 5 days and it was clean, AC was cool, and backup camera made driving easier to navigate. It was missing a plastic panel in the back of the van, but it didn't affect the functionality of the van. We returned the van midweek after some of our crew departed and got a smaller van. It was a white Kia and it was also clean with a lot of great features like smartphone hook up for music and navigation. The kids really liked that feature. We will definitely use Carl's van next time we are in town.
