Returned a car rented in Nice here. The faults of this location are just as much the fault of Avis corporate and lack of useful information in their website regarding this location and where to drop the car off.
Using the address on the website or google maps will lead to a side of the station, but there's no Avis there. The roads around the station are a series of one way streets that make it impossible to hunt for where to drop off.
The car return is just in the station's parking garage on the lowest (4th floor) so just get to the train station and follow the signs for the garage and take a ticket to enter the garage as if you're just parking there. What was more frustrating is once on the 4th floor there's no signs to indicate where to park the car. Europcar has designated/reserved spots but no such thing for Avis. Bottom line: just park anywhere on the 4th floor then take the elevator to the main hall. Avis has a reception in the North wing. read more
