RUNNN, do not rent at this Avis location. They create their own hours, lie to customers & will do anything to rage bait you so that they come off looking as if they did not do anything wrong. Never in my life have I ever experienced customer "service" on a level that is this poor. Ana from customer service was extremely rude to me for the second time. The first time I rented a van to take my family to Gainesville for a graduation. The van was filthy and when I went inside to tell her something she said, what do you want from me? You're not even paying the full price, in front of other customers. I get a government rate and I rent often. That time she saw that my face was not very happy with the way that she spoke to me and she apologized and offered me two other vehicles. This time I made a reservation online with Avis specifically looking for the Volkswagen SUV that I saw was in their lot. The Avis representative told me that the Volkswagen SUV is not currently held on a reservation and I can book it. I booked it for two weeks . I went into the office 15 minutes after making my reservation. Ana looked at me and said what's your name again, yeah your reservation is canceled. She didn't want to give me the SUV on the government rate. I then called Avis customer service back they reinstated my reservation and told me just to tell the agent that I would like to pay for the upgrade. She said let me ask my manager. She made me wait for 10 minutes, came back and said I'm giving you the Mazda. I said is the Volkswagen booked and she said that's private information I can't give that to you. I just went back and asked her for her employee ID number because I'm making a complaint with Avis and she said I don't have an employee ID number. I work for a franchise. I'm a fireman. I go to people on their worst days. It's very easy for me to lose my composure if I need to, but I try my best to hold it together. But I always treat people with respect. A month after turning in my rental with no issues I was charged 187.00 for damage to a rain sensor in the window. Apparently the bill came from Avis' Emergency Roadside Assistance Team. I never had roadside assistance! This is not a part of a regular vehicle inspection! I was told since I did not purchase Emergency Roadside Plan (RSN) or the Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) that I agreed to all damages (even if I was not at fault?). WTF?! Needless to say after several useless back and forth conversations I've decided to pursue legal action against these fraudulent charges. read more

I had made a reservation a week before, when i got to the dealership at the time i had to pick up the car, the rental wasn't there and they had no idea when it will be there. It was 9:30 and had to leave at 11 am i had no car and the person at the counter was very loud and rude. I recommend somewhere else. read more

I loved this place! Patricia, from Avis, promptly picked me up from a nearby car mechanic. She was very professional and friendly. I had the choice of dropping off their rental at Avis or at the mechanic. However, it is easier for them if you drop it off at Avis. It's an option though. I got my car with a full tank and had to return with a full tank as well. Otherwise, they charge $9.69 PER GALLON!!! Fortunately, there is a gas station about 3 blocks north. read more

Stay away from this place! I got a car from there. Right after I left the location I noticed the tire alarm light on. I went back to the place , and they told me it was nothing and lights will go off around 35 miles. I am driving to Orlando and in the middle of the way I stopped the car at a gas station and I noticed the flat tire. Also it was clear too, a loud noise every time I pushed the breaks. I called the place to make a complain because I pointed the issue on the car and they gave me the car anyway. I have difficulty to speak with the agent because her lack of good English. Stay away.Mpnday June 18,2018... The girl at the counter was at best OK. The guy cleaning the cars should be working in a job that requires no human contact. He is rude,arrogant,lazy on and on. I rented a mid sized vehicle and drove off. Only to find out after it sat in the sun for about an hour or so and re started. It smelled of smoke really bad. I was on route to my next apointmet and decided I should swing by and swap out for another vehicle. I was told by the cleaning guy."All the Hynday,s smell like that" " if you want another vehicle you'll have to upgrade" I did not ask for anything other than a car that did not stonk of smoke. I was having cell phone reception issues. So I asked the got to let me use the land line phone to contact customer service to see of we could reslobe the issue. She said no. I finally re booted my phone contacted customer service. Once I explained the situation. He asks me to Ask what cars they had available. The women then told me they had no cats available at all. O asked the customer rep to check their local stock. He said " they have several cars of the same clad as well as full size" . He could not understand why they told me they did not have any cars available.he them asked me to pass MY cell phone to the women at the counter so he could talk to her. WOW. Bottom line is their whole objective was to get me to upgrade. After about 1 1/2 hours of waisted time I ended up getting a car delivers from another location and driving off. They were condescending,rude and just plain ignorant. The cleaning guy by the way spent more time texting on his phone than being concerned about getting a customer their car ready. As a matter of fact when I picked up the first car. I waited about 20 minutes for him to pull the car up and hose it down as he was originally too busy on his phone texting. Side note. The console of that car was untouched by the cleaner and full of candy and wrappers. I don't normally waist time to do write ups. But this one may help someone else avoid some very frustrating time. And honestly I think at the very least both the people at this location should be reprimanded if not fired. Running fairly large customer oriented business for over 30 years. I would fire these people since I know in the long run keeping them and their attitudes would have a negative reflection overall company. read more
