Booking the company was simple after an informational call. We had the option of choosing our individual DJ or filling out a survey and being matched with someone when our event got closer. We chose the latter and got paired with Nathan. We then filled out an in-depth survey about our tastes and preferences for each portion of the day and reviewed that with Nathan on a video call a couple of weeks before our wedding day. Nathan did a spectacular job on our wedding day. He was really familiar with our venue and closely followed the plan we came up with for pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. I was especially grateful that he trimmed down all of our chosen songs for grand entrances and planned dances (at our request!) so that we didn't have to do that ourselves. We got so many compliments on the song selections from our friends/family. Nathan kept the dance floor going the entire night. We had a relatively smaller group at 65 guests, and given that, I was admittedly a little nervous about the party vibe lasting, but it ended up being the complete opposite! Usually, it is customary for the Korean's 1st Bday to have great photos! These are memories that will last a lifetime and you want a great photographer to work with! Moving to Chicago I was bit nervous working with a new photographer since I am very particular and want someone that will capture the right moments! In fact it's very hard! We wanted someone who understood our needs and the design element ideas that would capture that perfect moment! Luckily after 7 calls with various different photographers around the Chicago land area we were glad we found Studio Soo Chicago Baby! He was the only a few who actually responded timely, flexible with scheduling and accommodating! Soo does an amazing job with trying to get shots that we are looking for - see below some of his fabulous work! We also went with their photo booth at the Birthday party since Soo was very accommodating and upgrading things we didn't even think we wanted! While the overall cost was a bit more than what we wanted to spend I look at these things as an investment! We're sorry this is so delayed, Victoria, but I wanted to make sure that you and the world knew how happy we were with our photos. Victoria and her team were fantastic! She did both our engagement photos and wedding photos and they turned out amazing. Honestly, exceeded my expectations, given the typical, plain photos I'm used to seeing from weddings. She gave us a mix of portraits, moments and detail shots, all of which were fantastic. Originally, we didn't want to see each other before the ceremony and we were going to try to shove all our photos into an hour after the reception, all the while missing our cocktail hour. Boy am I glad Victoria recommended first look photos... I don't know if I would have survived the day otherwise! It took a few months for me to come around to the idea, but I'm so happy we did. I was so stressed about the day-of schedule the weeks leading up to our big day. When we decided to switch our schedule completely at the very last minute, Victoria took it in lock-step and the whole day ended up just perfect!
