We first met Tim at a neighborhood Starbucks to get a good look at his work from start to finish. He was able to provide weddings in full and not just some of his top shots. This provided me with the confidence I needed to book him. We drove home from the meeting and we're like giddy kids that had just met a new best friend. We went ahead a day or so later and signed the contract via email. Needless to say, we were extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism we received from Tim through all of our communications. Moving on to the ceremony and reception. Tim and Bethany arrived to our contract locations on time and once they got to work, you barely even noticed they were there. But looking through my pictures, I was so happy with all the little details they caught in my home, my hotel room and during the ceremony and reception. I was in tears (of happiness) at how special they made my wedding day simply by capturing some of the silly, fun and sweet things that happened that day. I have to mention this, and I hope she'll laugh...At one point before the reception, Bethany even hooked me up with some of HER bobby-pins and post ceremony, helped scrub a small mud stain or two out of my dress. Bethany-- you should think about being a day of coordinator--you were so much better than mine! lol I kid you not, my entire family and friends are still talking about how sweet and nice Tim and Bethany were. We didn't know what to expect going in, but it was such a fun day and the pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! He seriously thinks of everything and takes some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. He captured our happiness and excitement perfectly at the time of our engagement. Organizing and planning for the wedding day with Tim was also extremely easy, he is super responsive and easy to work with! Also, aside from amazing photos, early in our planning process he gave us some vendor recommendations - many of which we ended up also working with who were equally as amazing. For the main event, our wedding, Tim and Bethany truly went above and beyond. We were working with a tight timeline which included a first look with the groom, my dad, and my bridesmaids as well as two different getting ready locations, and a large wedding party. None of this phased them at all - our timeline was managed perfectly while still getting all the photos we wanted. They also helped us pick the perfect locations for our photos - the Ambassador balcony for our first look and a park for additional pictures that allowed us to be by the lake/city, and still close enough to the ceremony location. Tim and Bethany were also snapping pictures when we didn't even know it! We have so many special photos of memories we didn't even expect, like crossing the street to the church with my sister holding my dress and my sister helping my mom with her dress. One youswoop later, and a bachelorette gift for my lovely lady friend was set up. Julie is very easy to work with with respect to setting up the appointment. We communicated very well over email, and she answered any and all questions (without giving me the "duh, read my website response" because I later realized that I could've figured this info out on my own.) We set up the appointment at a chic hotel downtown, and were ready. Day of shoot, Julie arrived, and got straight to work. She is great at giving directions, which is really important to make you look the very best in your shoot. She also makes you feel completely at ease, again critical when you're running around in your unmentionables (and your friends are shrieking, "MORE SIDE BOOB.") Some notes: -She can accommodate hair/makeup. I recommend either going through her or having this done. It really adds to the experience and sets you off feeling pretty. -Have a trusted girlfriend or three around to make you feel at ease. I think our commentary really relaxed and helped our friend. (Plus, see above...side boob was critical for some of the photos. We were HELPING.) -Champagne doesn't hurt either. -Make your bed. (Or do as we did, have it in a sexy hotel that will make the bed FOR you.) If you have any interest in having this done, I can't recommend it enough. That, combined with a few mimosas, really relaxed me, especially as my friends were encouraging me that the pics were amazing while at the same time hilariously directing me to show more boob and booty. We went about finding our wedding photographer (Jenna) through a social media group called the Chicago Toasters. It's a private group with over 10K local women that's an open forum for asking questions, getting recommendations, etc. I decided to browse old post threads within this group where other women that were getting married were asking for photographer recommendations in the Chicagoland area for their wedding. I made note of all the photographers that got recommended several times, and Jenna was one of them! From there, we contacted Jenna and the rest is history. And let me tell you, we are SO glad we chose Jenna to work with - She is AMAZING in all ways. -She is fun, friendly and she makes you feel at ease immediately -Her photography style is beautiful, light and airy -She is assertive -She is great with her communication and provided so many great resources and professional guidance throughout the entire process On the day of our wedding, the Chicago lights festival parade was also happening. We planned to take bridal party pictures by the Wrigley Building, and when we arrived we were getting asked to leave by the police. Jenna worked her magic and was able to convince them to let us use the space for 20 minutes - Jenna and her assistance captured SO MANY great photos within this short period of time and worked so well under pressure! With all the stresses of planning our wedding, it was a relief to have the Rush team help us plan the pre-wedding photo session (which was a few weeks before the wedding). They suggested great venues (both indoor and outdoor). And they helped with lighting, angles, and poses, etc. For the wedding there were two teams. One was at the house taking all the family photos, and the second team went ahead to the reception to capture all the moments. At the wedding, they used a crane to raise the camera to get the cool video from inside the crowded dance floor. And the photographers were there until the very end of the night! We really appreciated all their thoughtful suggestions, strategic photos and video, and their personal touch. They are genuinely nice people. I highly recommend them for any wedding or corporate event. And I would use them again.

We considered lots of different options (i.e. photo booths, flip books) for the reception, and not only was the Polaroid station the most affordable, but we also got to keep one of the cameras! If you are looking for a unique reception activity Polaroids are a great option, and if you want beautiful photos and amazing service, Giorgio and Sarah are the absolute best!!!
