Right now my R arm & shoulder are basically useless. I can hold a cup of coffee w/R hand. Shoulder can't reach for anything. Now I know I'm not the only injured person in need of surgery & have had all the tests needed to show surgery is needed but the calcified artery showed up in the xray which is delaying surgery. The longer my arm & shoulder stay in this condition the odds are with surgery the arm & shoulder might not regain strength & mobility. I not a betting man except during the super bowl, I don't believe in doing $40K of neck reconstruction when it may not effect the issue of pinched nerve preventing any resemblance of a future that ensures quality of life. I'm on the fence now. I'm from MA where the only good thing was the quality of care. I'm not saying they are all competent but I would be in rehab now & not be stuck with a multi dollar co-pay. I will not mortgage my home for the state or hospital to put a lien on it. It's in a living trust & will. I moved to SD to escape being homeless & broke in 3-5 yrs because of the sanctuary state woke BS & taxes paying for illegals & also to fulfill my promise to my gran daughter. And if you need help in an area not covered, they are quick to get you schedule for community care appointments as well. I really can't say enough about this facility, and it's so refreshing to have a care team that genuinely WANTS to see their patients happy and succeed.

The doctors, nurses, lab, etc was great. Hospital has been remodeled and is very nice. The mediocre review was because of the VA police. We were traveling in our motorhome with a trailer pulled behind it. First day we were there, we arrived super early in the morning. I pulled into the parking lot and took up approx 7 spaces. I wasn't expecting to stay there long ... only long enough to determine where I needed to park. The FIL was the priority. Immediately, this cop comes up to RV noticeably irritated that we had parked there. To quote: "Do you know that this thing is taking up like seven f___ing spaces? You'll need to move it to the street." I said okay and complied. I felt like saying that I know how to count. Several days later (which was the Friday before Memorial Day), we're parked on the street, and this same cop walks up to me while I'm standing just outside the RV and says that, since it's the weekend and after 5pm on Friday, it would be okay if I parked in the parking lot over the weekend since it wouldn't be getting full. It would also put us considerably closer to the front door. (I suffer from persistent a-fib and heart failure, and my wife has a bad back, so any distance closer is very much agreeable with my heart. It's a little walk between the street and the front door.) Anyhow, I move the RV to the backside of the lot, out of the way. We stayed parked there all night long. During the night, there were VA police patrolling the lot, frequently. At no time was I approached and told to move. The next morning, my wife and I are drinking coffee and this younger cop knocks on the window and tells me that I can't be camping there and that I'll need to move in the evenings. I told him what I was told by the first cop, and he responded with that he was the shift supervisor and didn't care what I had been told, that I'd need to move it in the evenings. He left. I'm thinking, if that's the case, why didn't the police notify me of this at some point during the night? These cops are apparently on power trips and do nothing to improve relations with patients and visitors. It's sad that a nice facility with great care is lowered by the police with attitudes. I'll stay parked on the street and these cops will get nothing but dirty looks since they like being assholes.

I feel like I was rushed the whole time. I was seating in a chair for half an hour waiting for the doctor and when he got there, I needed to go to the bathroom. He asked me if I could wait and I said I had to go. I've been sitting here for 30 minutes so I went to the bathroom to pee and took me only two minutes by the time I came back. He was already gone for another five minutes when he came back give me my shot really quick. I complained about pain again and complain about pain again and he continue trying to pull the tooth. I felt rush and move on; I never felt like this before. And the other his assistant, she was super nice. Help me out with everything. She asked me if I wanted warm towel or a one black blanket and she made me feel better but I feel like the doctor was just rushing too finish and move on. and I also think that now I have a cracked tooth next to the tooth that was removed so I had to go back to my dentist to see what he says about that. horrible experience,and I'm not going back there.

I called your office at 4am to cancel my appointment and then again at 8am to verify that the office had received my cancellation. The Office Manager "Courtney" basically berated me for cancelling my appointment so close to the time I had to be in and then reprimanded me and then I was told I would never have morning appointments again because, "she needed time to fill in the appointment slot". I repeatedly asked her if I could call back (I stated 3 times that I was in my bathroom) and she completely ignored me, interrupted me and talked over me. There was no empathy, sympathy or understanding. She spoke to me like I was not a client and I was treated like a 4 year old child on the phone. I finally called back later in the afternoon to speak with her because I want to remind her and Dental Associates: I have been a steady and faithful client for almost 3 years. My family goes there and I have actually told friends and work associates to go there because your doctors are very good. Your #1 problem is your office staff. This is not the first time I have been spoken to or treated this way at your office or on the phone. I have never before cancelled an appointment and my bills are paid and always on time. I am seriously confused at the lack of client care. Stop treating your clients with medical conditions like they are a hindrance to your "appointment" schedule. Have a little heart when a client needs to cancel for a medical reason, it's not like I had a conflicting appointment with my manicurist. (On a side note: if you need to fill in appointment slots so fast, should you be a bit worried about your financial situation?) Today June 3, 2020 I received a letter form your office stating that you need $50.00 for my cancellation. Also, the $50.00 will not be paid and I will be sending the bill to my lawyer and if your business needs the $50.00 so badly, you can meet me in small claims court, because your lawyer might be good but not as good as mine. Effectively, my family and I are withdrawing our business from your office. Reminder: there are numerous dental offices in Sioux Falls that are looking for clients.
