Prompt courteous service in an industry filled with scumbags ! Work quoted, done professionally and on budget .I would recommend .

It's job is so lousy. The exhaust vent opening on the roof is not even position correctly. The exhaust vent and the roof hole does not match and line up. They expect house owner will never see it from the outside of the roof, however I see it from inside my attic. read more

Poor assessment, customer service, and overall accountability. We had a terrible experience with Avenue Road Roofing. I'd like to think that if everything goes to plan, they're a fine company to work with, but from our experience if anything goes wrong, they're an absolute nightmare to deal with. They do not stand behind their work and will deny accountability at all costs. There were errors made with the initial assessment which led to a leak not being fixed properly, and their recommendations also created an entirely new problem. While fixing the main leak, they thought it was a good idea to do some preventative touchups around a skylight, and while working on it, they broke the seal. It leaked for the very first time the next day, and they had the audacity to suggest that it had nothing to do with them. So we hired them to fix one leak, and they left us with two! We subsequently had to hire another company to replace the skylight for $2,000. I was astonished at how poorly Avenue Road Roofing managed the situation. I thought they would apologize and come fix it, but instead, they denied accountability for both issues. They said "there's no warranty on repair work" for the main leak, which reappeared only 3 months later in the exact same place. They claimed that they did fix the original leak and that it was just a bad winter, but if the initial assessment was done correctly, they would have told us that it's also necessary to replace the damper vent, not just the shingles. Instead, they explicitly told us beforehand that the leak was not related to the damper vent, so we didn't replace it, but after the leak reappeared, they said it was related to the damper vent. So due to their misguided assessment, the leak was not fixed properly, and they refused to accept any responsibility for this. There are lots of other roofing companies out there, I'd strongly advise against going with Avenue Road Roofing. read more

Over priced for subpar work. Used to be run well but new owners have really sunk the business. They don't care about their clients except for taking their money. read more

My mother and I decided to go with avenue road being they were more reputable and we would pay for the job to be done correctly. I explained exactly what I wanted and was quoted for it. A few days later when we decided to go with them they upped the quote 3000$ more. We went with it thinking you get what you pay for. They come and do my walkway. It was supposed to be raised so the water would drain and I explained this when I was getting my original quote. After completion im left with a walkway that can't drain water and its full of water. The rotted wood that was supposed to be replaced is still there. I will now need to do more work as when I contacted them about this they replied this is just how it is and if u want we can install drains at additional cost plus a plumber. I assumed I would get what I paid for. Such a small job that cost us $8000. I do not recommend this company. They do horrible work and over price for a job that doesn't get completed the way you asked for it. Take a look at the picture added. read more

Do not hire these guys! Extremely shoddy work, unprofessional service. Have to hire a second roofing company to come fix their job.

I am conflicted about rating this company. My first experience with them years ago was good though expensive. This time, both my neighbor and I wasted 2 days each waiting for their roofer to show up. I missed appointments. I made numerous calls, received calls back assuring me that the roofer (Ronald) is about to leave to come to my property, just to learn from him at the end of the first day that "office made some scheduling mistake." Second day on the phone was a poor use of time as well, but if I did not do it, I doubt anything would happen. At the end, when a roofer did come, he did his job and charged the amount as per estimate. I asked him to clean eves troughs and the pipe for water exit while on the roof but that did not happen. Customer service lady was good. But no one will give us back 2 days of our lives. No compensation was offered either. read more

Prior to hiring Avenue Road Roofing, it was agreed that any areas of rotting wood or wood with damaged areas would be replaced. I just happened to notice one roofer applying a barrier over damaged wood that had not been replaced and he responded from on top of the roof (never bothering to come down to the ground to discuss it with me) that he didn't see any damaged areas. It took a call to his supervisor (who was exceptionally prompt in responding) to get the damaged wood replaced. (I had photographed the areas). Later, I catch the other roofer urinating against the concrete side of my house - the urine flowed on along our stretched out water hose that was in the area! Avenue Road Roofing, is this the caliber of people you subcontract to? It's no surprise the roofer would need to respond to nature's calls during their 13 hr work shift, so how about being a little prepared and considerate of your customer and eliminate into a plastic drinking bottle or the coffee cup you had in your hand earlier? How would you feel if I urinated against the side of your house? Never again, would I hire this company nor recommend it to any friends or family. read more

I gave one star only because a zero start rating was not an option. I called to book for a quote for services. The consultant came, looked at my roof, said I would have a quote within 24 hours. Its now been more than two and a half weeks, and I am yet to receive the quote. I have called TWICE to follow up, even speaking with the consultant himself on one occasion. Still no quote. I prefer not to throw my hard-earned money to people whom I have to run after for service. Thank-you-very-much. read more

Thank you for getting back to my review, but two years later is a bit late. I already spoke to several people at the company and wrote the owner a letter then. No one bothered at that time so your response now is appreciated but a bit too late to action. I would not accept anything from your company at this point ever again. Thank you. read more
